I liked Mappa more because the art style looks more similar to the manga ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I enjoy the Wit style more cuz it was what we grew up with, but the grittier style of Mappa really fits the darkness of the final arc.

I'm glad that MAPPA is contributing its best in the Finals. But
It doesn't matter now. Coz AOT is not its climax.

The storyline of Season 4 was already too good and Mappa's art style made the season even better.

Art wise I like Mappa better, but I prefer the animation of Wit for the most part.

Art style and animation from MAPPA for me, but Wit did an amazing job too.

To be honest I can’t really pick, they all have good and bad things about them. There were some features that the Mappa producers had made less pronounced or got rid of entirely. But I kinda prefer the earlier animation of the titans because it looked less robotic but even if they were robotic they looked a pretty cool. No matter what style AOT is in I still love the animation and plot and I really don’t know which one to pick so I’m just going to say all of them. I’m indecisive lol

i would agree mappa did better job in keeping the manga vibes in anime, but they ruined a few character designs, and I would never disagree on that. The fights scene are that epic or breathtaking too like in season 3.They just didn't lay the foundation fir the character and kill them like for the war hammer titan and the claw titan holder (Sorry I don't remember his name, one with epic dead scene, that's only he gets) so yeah, though mappa made the art look more like "attack" on titan, I am sure if mappa was given to anime the early 3season, we would have never felt the same connection to characters and world like we did after wit studios works. Really like their job and enjoyed it. Also I would mappa was sure fit fir season 4 as it is more darker than rest of the early seasons... so yeah best would had been a joint collab just for AOT fans??? or something

I wanna disagree a bit on the part where you said "we wouldn't have felt the same connection to the characters and world like after wit studio's work if mappa did the first 3 seasons", because it is not something about the animation, it is something about the attachment and obsession people grew over the artstyle made for the first 3 seasons even tho they had lesser detail and linework. If you've seen the flashback scenes of Eren and Reiner in final season part 1, you would know that they looked even more beautiful than what were made by wit, not just that, they looked more 'soft' (which is an important factor while trying to make something realistic, and it's something mappa does a lot especially with aot). Sorry I don't have the screenshots in store rn but you can easily find them. It also explains why wit studio keeps getting more votes on every aot category.

yeah I have too seen those ss where they compare the both flashbacks, and to be true, YES mappa did them really really well. but I am saying that what mappa did is took the manga pages, coloured them and added a few more frames before and after, like they really didn't alter a single thing from here or there, and though I really appreciate that, bit that's just takes aways the "anime adaption" part of it.

Man NO they didn't copy the exact same things and "didn't alter a single thing", yea the panels were very accurate to the manga but they weren't a 1:1 (manga:anime) copy, but more like a 1:2 copy. They were very accurate to the plotline but they had to add salt and pepper throughout cuz even though Isayama's art improved by leagues in the final season, they weren't perfect. I mean, you cannot say that they're the same by comparing a manga panel with an anime one, I'll present a few in the end to justify but you can see more for yourself, most of the time in the anime they were more realistic and nice (I prefer the Yelena shot from the manga more tho but the animated one just felt really nice). Sorry cannot post more shots cuz they would count as spoilers for next parts.

thank you for you efforts for putting the panels in. I guess I accept then fact now you mentioned before in the conversation, so I'm glad to be in more tune with the views on mappa art.
Well one thing I gotta say, all the 4 seasons gave me goosebumps ans were really really awesome to watch. while first 3 gave me more on the fighting sequels, 4 season made me pause and just sit quite for moments thinking what just happened ๐Ÿ˜ถ.

It's great to see that you enjoy aot so much. Hope you're eagerly waiting for the final episode dropping on November 4th just like I am. Both the studios did great jobs on their parts. The final season was very much focused on character acting, and the artists of the studio you-know-who did a great job in delivering both the action and non-action scenes pretty well, especially the character acting scenes, and it got a nomination on crunchyroll anime awards (final season part 2) for the 'best animation' category with very less number of actual battle scenes; just shows the level of impact of normal scenes themselves. Have a nice day mate.
