I've read and watched all parts so far and I agree with you, Golden Wind can be boring if you're not too fond of constant battles and the plot is not as thrilling as other Jojo parts. Without spoiling you, the stakes will get much higher but the format will remain pretty much the same until the final arc. Even so, the remaining battles are very good and some of the best enemies of the series will appear, so I think you should keep watching.

@Cayusashi probably. I mean I mostly wanted to read SBR merely for the fact I thought Zeppeli and the artstyle looks cool. Part 5 while on par or better written than the previous parts doesn't have the same advantages. Part 1 feels like a parody/it's funny, part 2 is just fun and also kind of silly/over the top. 3 introduces stands and 4 had a completely new artstyle with more interesting stands/characters. 5 is improving on it's stands but has no element of surprise in my opinion.

Part 5 is the worst part and you don't need to finish it to understand Part 6, so maybe put it on hold and come back refreshed?

I personally powered through, but I wanted to give you an alternative option that hasn't been presented here.

I'd say finish it. You've come so far. Granted, in my opinion, Part 5 is way better than Part 4. But I can see where you're coming from with it being boring, but you won't regret finishing it. Then you get to watch Part 6! Enjoy the rest solider

Finish it. It may look boring at the beginning but the story gets better. If you don't like fugo that's fine, he doesn't get much screen time even tho imo he should have just because his stand is so op. Trish's dad is basically the main villain of the story so if I were you, I would stick till the end to see how it goes against him. And yes, Polnareff comes back with something new.
But of course, it's your decision to finish it or not.

part 5 was my least favourite part, as you said already there's pretty much nothing new to it, it adds nothing to the story, you could skip it and it wouldn't even matter, if i knew this i probably would've skipped it. this wgole part is a filler

I find the ending of part 5 is super hype in comparison to the rest of the season plus part 6 is my fave jojo part so I think it’s worth it to stick with it

Yeah, it's not bad and I wanna see part 6. I think I'll continue but 17-18 episodes seemed like a lot for a plot I wasn't enjoying that much

Yeah. I'll have to wait until I finish it but I would argue it's better than 3. Just not as fun as 3 since stands were new at the time.

I think golden wind is very monster of the week but unlike part 3 it has brilliant actual plot moving moments sprinkled in that keeps The plot and main threat alive. And the final few arcs are great

Just complete it, you'll love it. The villain is crazy and his stand's even crazier. You'll love Trish too when her stand awakens. If you don't like Fugo, then you're gonna love the next half. Just complete part 5, it'll only get better

It is so fun to learn what parts people liked or dislike and why. also the characters that we favorite or put at the bottom. It seems everyone likes to rate and compare the parts to each other. I prefer to keep them separate. no expectations, no pre judgment. Five does start weird it grows, though. my favorite characters were the friends, and the end will not disappoint, or it might 🤔 it's worth finishing if you're that far in.

finished it. while the doppio parts are good, it could be fleshed out more. overall the story had too many short term villains that i couldn't care about. giorno was pretty lame. part 4 at least made most of the antagonists into actual characters. so it suffered from similar narrative problems as part 3 but didn't have the advantage of stands being new. the plot was better than part 3 and 1, but overall this is one of the weaker parts in my opinion. i have noticed an interesting trend though, that is me liking every other part less. for example 2 was better than 1, 4 better than 3, and 6 better than 5. 5 and 3 being worse than 4 and 2 (2 is debatable).
