Kazuma's reincarnation happens in episode 9, but he doesn't appear on screen until episode 10 if I remember correctly.
Also his appearances are just events from season 1 happening in the background of whatever Megumin and Yunyun are doing.

This is not just a spin-off, but a prequel. They make some cameos in the last couple of episodes, but we just see their faces at the very final scene.

in this anime its the story of megumin before meeting kazuma and aqua so in the end we get to see wen they first met from megumin's prespectice, i recomend not skiping it because it tells alot about megumin and her lifestyle

Simply put, it's a prequel, so they barely had any roles in it.

You should watch this spin-off prequel if you really enjoyed the original Konosuba series and want to have some background and explanation on certain events in the original series.

However, if you primarily enjoyed Kazuma and Aqua's characters and dynamic from the original series, and you don't mind missing out on some nuance behind Megumin's character or possibly lacking information to understand minor details in the next season, then you're fine.
