It kinda feels strange seeing Chizuru going out with another guy that isn't Kazuya. Umi seems like a nice person though.

Ruka is still outspoken as ever and I doubt that will change much this season. Hopefully Chizuru learned from Umi this episode. She's still young and building on her career. Kazuya and the others are still doing their crowdfunding plan. Well, it seems she acknowledges Kazuya trying hard.

While it was in good faith that appeal really had the opposite effect. The dilemma of using Umi's connections or not sure got personal for Kazu. The insight into Chizuru's feelings towards Kazu's efforts was insightful. In the end im glad that they managed to get the required backers and funding needed for the movie. But now comes the hard part of actually filming and finishing it.

“I don’t like him… but I don’t not like him” that’s pretty much the kanokari story summed up lol. A little bit of development, but never a pure confession or ship sailing.

Umi dude was obviously heads over heels for Chizuru. Think she was the only one who didn’t notice that lol.

Ruka has just looked so dumb this entire season. I love her but she going out sad 😂 like read the room, please.

A solid episode everything considered, needs more mami, but character wise this has probably been the best season so far.

Great to see the crowdfunding campaign was a success. Now to actually making the film, that surely will be a cause for more drama up ahead. Luckily Umi didn't do anything really stupid, so this episode still ended up being a decent one.

It feels Chizuru has not the time to think about if she has real romantic feelings for Kazuya or not, her meeting with Umi kun also he invited her to a very popular restaurant but she declined it.
Cool episode.

Operation G-Day, commence.

It's nice to see that Chizuru is recognizing the amount of effort that Kazuya is putting into the project for her and her grandmother along with the crowdfunding surpassing its goal. Now comes the real challenge, actually filming it. I wonder how they'll handle potential conflict during the production of the movie. And Ruka is present, that's cool I guess.
With what Mini said about Kazuya's feelings, Chizuru is definitely going to have a hard time handling both acting and considering what her feelings are towards Kazuya. Chizuru still has a long way to go for her career, hopefully she makes good progress on going higher and higher.
Besides that, I honestly don't know how to feel towards this weeks episode. Little iffy?

That's all from me for now, enjoy the rest of your friday.

I kinda feel miyajima did kinda foreshadowing about umi liking mizuhara, at least in this episode evidently, which I ignored while reading manga. Anyways, the episodes are getting really good.

I think Kazuya was right about something for the first time ever...

Mini had to tell Chizuru about how Kazuya feels about her.. Could they perhaps take a step now?
That would be great, but the manga...

Mini's tenacity is truly admirable; she's determined to make Chizuru consider Kazuya's feelings (and her own). However, this sometimes leaves poor Chizuru flustered and unable to talk openly with Kazuya.

Hey, look who it is! Umi, I almost forgot that Kaito Ishikawa was part of this show. Apparently, he's quite popular on social media, and if he promotes the movie on his Twitter account, it would be a significant boost. Plus, he seems keen on the idea of going on a date with Chizuru.

"I...don't like him. But I don't not like him." Ah, the classic non-committal response about one's feelings for someone. Although, to be honest, Chizuru's "I don't like him" remark didn't sound very convincing.

They've not only reached their goal but even surpassed it. The joy on Chizuru's face reflects the significance of their achievement. Yet, their journey isn't over yet; with funding secured, they now have to make the movie and show their gratitude to the backers. There's still work to be done, but they've come a long way.

Chizuru was surprising a bit dense when she assumed that the get together with Umi was not a date but I think she realized it that at the end he wanted it to be (for once Kazuya was right). At least she turned down the dinner part which I'm sure was not easy to do especially with the potential to interact with other people in the industry.

Now with the crowdfunding portion done I'm curious how the production of the film will go although I think Mini, with her streamer experience, can help.

Gotta feel bad for Umi, he was always a good guy, and when you think he might be an antagonist, turns out he's still a good guy. Dude also looks much more like a stud than before as well. It's just a little painful seeing Chizuru leave him like that, when they look like they'd be so good together sharing their passion for theatre and all. But unfortunately she has no feelings for him, and instead has feelings for Kazuya instead, for some reason. Maybe she's just able to see through all the layers of degenerate to see a good guy deep down as well.

I want Umi to remain the ogod guy that he is, but I wouldn't mind a little more drama from his side. I don't think this ever happens, but I'm silently hoping for Chizuru to develop feelings for him, and see how Kazuya would respond. Then we'd have some real good sh*t. Heck they're both denying any feelings but Kazuya makes it so obvious when he is so against having Chizuru go out to the play with Umi, although Chizuru doesn't seem to notice. Maybe that's something only us the audience and Mini sees. Speaking of, I feel like part of what makes this movie arc so much better than anything before is because of Mini, who feels like she's here just to smack some sense into people, especially Kazuya. Like you're just thrown a lifeline to maybe save the crowdfunding, but because he doesn't want to see his love go out on a date with another dude, he's just willing to throw that away. Sure maybe Umi would retweet it regardless, and he did so even when Chizuru rejected his offer to continue the date. But that still doesn't give Kazuya to excuse to stop Chizuru from going, that's not your gf dude....

Now I'm wondering how that scene would've play out if Mini WASN'T there. Kazuya would've stop her from going, Chizuru would be like "What, why??", and then maybe she'd pick on more hints of his feelings for her, but it'd just end up with Kazuya giving some dumb excuse as to why she shouldn't go. Yeah at least for now, Mini is saving this show.

They made the goal!! I'm very happy to see them reach their money goal for the crowd funding film project. Kazuya, Mini, Ruka and Chizuru all worked very hard to achieve this goal. Chizuru herself this episode had to enter some dangerous waters. Going out on a date with her very handsome actor friend Umi. Kazuya worrying about her being on the date was funny. Mini trying to make him not so paranoid but he couldn't help it. Mini kinda soiled the bed last episode being super upfront telling Chizuru that maybe Kazuya likes her. But she made a good point that getting Umi support for the campaign was the smart play. Kazuya just had to suffer worrying and that made me laugh a few times. Chizuru picking the neutral path of well I don't like him but I don't not like him. A very interesting answer to Umi asking her about Kazuya.. She's at least open to the idea I suppose, Kazuya has done a lot to help her beyond just being a client. They've got all the funds now the real work to make a movie begins!

It took some convincing, or maybe more like forcing, to get Kazuya to let Mizuhara go with Umi on the day they were handing out flyers but he ended up folding while holding back tears lol. And as it turns out he was right to be sus, the whole time I was pretty sure Umi had ulterior motives and it was I expected, but thankfully Mizuhara was able to turn him down, not that I was afraid she wouldn’t but I’m just happy to see it kinda like Kazuya when she returned to him lol.

And Umi was pretty chill about it thankfully, I was thinking he’d lose it or something but it ended up being smooth, and we even got somewhat of an answer on Mizuhara’s feelings for Kazuya, and it’s that she “doesn’t not like him” which I think it’s safe to say she does but I’ll take it lol. And lastly, it was great to see the crowdfunding end in success thanks to Umi’s help, now the movie making process can actually begin!

Yaemori has become my favourite character. Her dynamic with kazuya is hilarious and I like her bubbly personality.

I heard apparently not much has happened in the manga in terms of progression between kazuya and chizuru but I gotta say everyone gives my boy kazuya so much flak for not having the courage to do anything. But none of you lot are mentioning that chizuru is literally no different.

Chizuru is easily my least favourite character. At least kazuya can admit he likes her. Chizuru is literally gaslighting herself into thinking she doesn’t like kazuya when she obviously does. Kazuya really ain’t as bad as everyone makes him out to be. He’s actually a pretty normal guy. But Godd Damm I really hate chizuru.

Super cute. Can't wait for Kazuya and Chizuru to end up together

One thing, it's annoying how this anime always exaggerates randoms in the street. Like WHENEVER Chizuru or a rental girlfriend is in public, every man and his dog is standing there and staring being like woah she's so hot. It's so creepy bruh and a bit unrealistic haha

Ok since Umi-kun got declined by Mizuhara can I have him instead?? He's so much more considerate and you actually see him love Mizuhara's acting fangirl side!! When Mizuhara is all mixed up with her feelings, both him and Yaemori push her to figure things out so she has a direction to go to (which girl you gotta do you can't just ignore when two guys are taking interest in you)

I think the real problem Chizuru needs to face is if she's interested in having a real relationship, or if she'll remain married to her job/acting career. At this point all the support is needed to make her dream come true, which brings her the cutest smile!!

Also, everytime I watch a new episode I hope Kazuya will get better but he becomes worse. Afraid of being true to his feelings while still letting them interfere on what's ahead. Smacking Yaemori WHEN SHE DID NOTHING BUT KEEP HIM ON CHECK!! And assuming the worst of Umi because he's 169x better than him.

Anyways, Umi and Chizuru would be a good match if Chizuru would get her crap together, Kazuya's never getting better, Yaemori and Sumi are awesome, Ruka is worst girlfriend, and Mami is best girl!

Yaemori has done her part, though how Mizuhara chooses to respond to Kazuya, is basically on her own terms now.

It's D-Day, and Yaemori slipped the unthinkable. With Mizuhara engaging with her famous co-actor Umi, the crowdfunding can move on, though at the behest of Umi taking her out to a play for her to understand about acting, on the day that they were to hand out more flyers. It's a business opportunity, but Kazuya sees him as competition, and the retweet is a huge price to pay for the date, though they don't have any other choice.

The last day of the crowdfunding, and both the hottie and the hot hang out while the flyers still go out concurrently. No time for flack, and with the people supporting, Kazuya can't afford to slack behind. And sure enough, Kazuya's worry is not misplaced, for Umi has already broken up with his ex and still eyes Mizuhara for her beauty and love for acting. Despite knowing his intents for his ex, Mizuhara still came back for them, that the movie is more important than whatever Umi has planned out for her, which the question still goes back to her if Mizuhara really loved Kazuya from her heart. This was her one chance to prove that she has an inkling for him, though her half-hearted answer is still one for deliberation.

Through all of the mess, the movie has hit its crowdfounding goal. A success, good for them.

lmao didn't expect kazuya to ask chizuru to not go for the play. glad that yaemori's present there. one episode it feels like man is finally in control of himself, his emotions and feelings and in another he lets it all loose all over again.

kazuya's lack of being flustered when alone in the bathroom with yaemori confirms for me that she's just gonna be a cupid. and i thought she would be another potential love interest. i'm fine with it though.

happy that they were able to gather funds. now we see how they are actually gonna make the movie. the real trouble begins now.

still not sure if umi was just testing chizuru or was really interested in her. but in the end he did retweet as promised so he's not a bad guy i guess. still thanks to that and yaemori putting ideas in her head she is at least aware that kazuya might like her in a romantic way and she might become more conscious about everything too. she did say she doesn't like him but she doesn't not like him either. that's a good start i would say. compared to season 1 they have come leaps and bounds especially considering how kazuya was/is. i'm hoping that saying that out loud to someone does have some effect on her like she becomes more conscious of him or something. i would like that. kazuya still has a lot of opportunites to gain good points in his favour throughout the making of the movie and then he can get forever in chizuru's good graces if the movie is actually made and the grandma watches it before she dies. she will surely promote kazuya from don't not like to like even if it's not in romantic sense, especially when she starts to actually think about how many people would be willing to do something like this for some aquantaince or neighbour or classmates which she thinks is the realtionship between her and kazuya. yaemori's done a real good job on putting everything on the table for chizuru. the thing about how no one would go to such lengths for someone unless they love them etc. hopefully she stops being in denial and starts considering the possibility so we finally get some developments.

and this is the first time i've noticed this but the way kazuya narrated in the last part it felt like his future self is narating the story.

really fun episode as usual. looking forward to the next one. also the ed doesn't suit this at all. terrible.

I actually really liked this episode, just like the 2nd one, how conflicted I am.
This dude Umi may be the only well written character here, no joke, dude's chill af, tried to get Mizuhara in a nice way and still accepted the rejection like a man, and he still helped her like a real friend, no tears, no shouts, no nothing, an actually normal character.

THAT'S IT THO, I LOVE THIS SOUTHERN LITTLE GOBLIN, ALL SHE HAS DONE SO FAR IS HELP AND MAKE THE SHITTY PROTAGONIST FEEL EVEN WORST, AND THAT'S GOOD.
If she end up being in love with him too I'll fkng sue the author for how shitty his female characters are.

My god Kazuya so cringed bro.
They way Trash Kazuya act is so ridiculous.

This is the moment for Chizuru to say the thing, but the author Reiji Miyajima can't decide to bring an end to this series.
That's why there is like 200+ chapters and over 25 Volumes Manga right now.
If he wasn't milking this series, idk what it is anymore.

Damn Chizuru literally walks back while Kazuya is being nice. Its interesting to see Chizuru be with someone else rather than Kazuya. Umi is an interesting character and has many followers on Twitter and agrees to help retweet it.

Kazuya thinks that Chizuru hates him. Mini went and babbled a lot to the point of her saying that Kazuya likes Chizuru and yeah Kazuya looked like he has seen a ghost. Kazuya is against the idea lmao but they decide to agree on it anyway. Chizuru goes to see a play with Umi. Kazuya & the rest hand out fliers in the meantime. They loved the play but when Chizuru says goodbye, he asks her to go to a restaurant where he placed an reservation and Chizuru declines. Chizuru really needs to choose whether she likes him or not because otherwise its confusing as hell. Well they reached their goal at the end and that was nice to see and she was really happy about it. Now comes the hardest part.

Yeah this episode is this series in a nutshell when what Chizuru said to Umi, just goes zig zag with some notable hint of development but never truly spark.
