| look at WIT Studio financial problems too some years ago im almost sure it was mismanagement of finances again too even though they did not reveal the real cause of it also is CloverWorks part of the production committee of Bocchi the Rock? because if they are not then they do not get royalty profits from the huge sales of it |
| again it does not matter how much an anime profits if the anime studio is not part of the production committee then the studio will not get royalty profits and the studio will only be paid a fix amount that is cheap i did not watch Bocchi the Rock but i heard the animation quality is great though? the budget meme strikes again here then if that is the case since it confirms again that the staff like animators are just passionate about an anime project (or even fans of the anime project or source material) rather than an anime project has given a huge budget by the production committee |

| yeah, I don't get why this would ever be the case, bocchi alone was such a massive unexpected hit. and spy x family did even better than it was expected. as far as I know none of their shows was a huge miss either, so someone somewhere fucked up something for this to happen. |

Cloverwork probably studios spent much money than Mappa (management issue maybe) That was probably the case, but i don't think CloverWorks spent way more money than MAPPA considering MAPPA literally produced 2 anime without financial help from the producers, especially with the case of CSM, that anime probably the most expensive anime that was aired last year. |
| its mostly because of high amount of random bullshits they make besides their main focus series, you can check company page of CW and i assure you wont know the name of 60%~70% of them also mismanagement should be a great factor |
