| Yea like everyone else said. The earlier chapters was portrayed much better in the manga. You can see that they were pretty much strangers but Ichikawa's deed and thoughtfulness slowly earned Yamada's feeling. The anime adapted and jammed those early chapters in just 3 episodes that everything happened so fast that the progression was hard to notice and felt like Yamada was always friendly towards Ichikawa. Swapping chapters didn't helped the anime's earlier episodes either. But to answer the topic starter question, the scene where Yamada's nose was hit with ball and Ichikawa providing her tissue marks the huge turning point in their relationship (just look at her face as she stares at the tissue in the last scene), in the next chapter she's noticably more friendly and interested towards Ichikawa. |

| There a lot of things that build slowly. K never hits on her. Early on he makes it clear he wont turn her in for snacking in the library. The picture he drew of her. The bicycle incident. Telling the class that it was he that painted Yamadas name in tge prop gravestones, when it was really Hara. He earns her trust through his natural actions. The writer does a great job with all of this. |

| "Did you know? For a first love, there's a time lag between when people start liking each other and when they notice that feeling" is what the author said. The moment she started to subconsciously liked him would be pretty early but the conscious part is more along the lines of: Lanz said: Bicycle~ : He's interesting Tissues~ : He's kind and thoughtful and interesting, I might like him Subway~ : I like him This is pretty in line with the official timeline that got published by the author (you can find it on mangadex as Chapter 115.2 bear in mind this will spoiler season 2) The precise moment where she "realized" that she liked him was when he gave her the milk tea. The author said in an interview that, while the milk tea itself was important (this will be elaborated in season 2) it was the fact that he was able to make her calm down and laugh in a situation where she would usually be unconsolable. I highly recommend the manga to anyone. As others have said: read it on mangadex, it includes specials that arent in the volume releases. Obviously support the author if you can and want to (it's not officially released in my country Q.Q) |
