Tetsuo took his chance this episode and tbh, he's got a lot of guts for taking on this mission himself.

A lot of talking this episode though, felt less thrilling than some of the others but for Tetsu to put himself into such a position earned my respect. He's more than just a detective at this point imo.

Tetsuo finally having found a way to Kyoichi's apartment...all now he has to do is to unlock his way in while Kasen keeps Reika at bay from meeting Kyoichi.

The thumb turn tool is the technique used to break the way into the apartment, though Tetsuo couldn't have surmised that time is the only factor putting aside against himself and Kyoichi. Back to his old apartment, the ALS light will help prove if Tetsuo is involved in Nobuto's death, but Kyoichi couldn't find any. The email information is next, and though Kyoichi may have surmised the possibility of Tetsuo hacking his laptop, though with the GPS having not moved, the possibility is ruled out. Tetsuo's next gambit to put the blame on one of Kyoichi's subordinates (Takeda), and that also is quickly ruled out, but he makes it desperate because he wanted him to take his bait.

Onto Kyoichi's apartment, the fact that he put a security cover on the doorknob shows that he knows that people will break into his apartment sooner or later. The reason for Tetsuo's rush to buy tools from the DIY shop, it's so hide the fact that the room itself is suspect from the start. And that's where the spider thread leads him to Kyoichi's apartment, it's a lie to buy time, aside from seeing the room still filled with cooking utensils so that he can fulfill his dream of opening a restaurant someday. The try-hard that tries to convince that Takeda is secretly rebelling against him, and through Kyoichi's history of being tarnished by the yakuza, he only knows that the only justice he has is to do it himself.

Both Tetsuo and Kyoichi are peas in a pod, but will the former ever beat the latter and make it out alive? It's too soon to call.

The mother really knows how to draw sympathy huh. Tetsuo really is turning into quite the criminal these days. Checking for bloodstains with UV really was a smart move. Still looks like his opponent is not someone that would let down his guard easily.

THE CENSORING LMAO
They probably did this because it's a tool used for crime and stuff. Still funny.

The scene at the end. No way Tetsuo managed to give something to Kasen. He's so damn deductive.

I hope both will survive, I think Tetsuo will survive for sure since he's the protagonist, but it'd be more fun to survive together.  And that's not consider my personal shipping taste.

I'm wondering if this semi-yakuza gang has tattoo, they're fully clothed so I'm not sure what's underneath, look like I need to see these gang members without clothes, starting with Kyouichi...

Kasen is an amazing actress.

WTF is up with the censored tool? Made it look like Tetsuo was holding some sort of a sex toy.

Crazy how Tetsuo managed to sneak into Kyoichi's apartment. Kyoichi's already more or less sure that Tetsuo is the one who killed Nobuto based on his instincts. He just needs the evidence to prove it. And he won't hesitate to create one.

Wonder what Kasen was up to in the end.

Reika is one stupid chick, also the censorship in the lock picking part was unnecessary & hilarious 😂

Both Tetsuo & Kyoichi are sharp. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

Huh, that censoring was pretty weird. You can still make out what that tool is and what it's used for so why bother.

The cunning of Tosu Tetsuo combined with his unassuming nature makes him such an interesting mc. His only fault is that he lets his true agenda out when he starts getting impatient. But that's what makes him so realistic. To keep up this front when all pressure and odds are against him is impressive on it's own. I believe in time he will get more accustomed to this deceptive nature. If kyouchi was like those other simpletons in the gang, this would go off without a hitch, but then it wouldn't be as interesting to see them try to overcome eachother.

It amazes me how to manage to keep the tension to the maximum, I love that.

Tetsuo is much more intelligent than the whole gang, at this point it is more profitable to hire him than simply kill him xd

Something is up with Kasen man, she seems way too good at everything she does involving this coverup.

Good episode, very suspenseful, Kyoichi and Tetsuo have such an interesting dynamic it’s definitely one of the show’s biggest strengths. The censoring during the lock picking scene was so strange lol maybe they just did it to protect themselves from claims that they were teaching people how to pick locks? So weird but kinda funny considering how tense the moment was. Honestly can’t see how this one is gonna end atm.

I think the lock-picking tool was censored so people won't learn how to pick locks.

If anything, I think it should've been uncensored so people can learn more about home security and take proper preventive measures to protect their homes, so they too, can become the Home Hero™.

LMAO the censorship of the door picklock had me dying. I thought it was an anime thing, but apparently the manga censors it too. The pacing/explanations sometimes feels so off - like, the explanation here for why Kyouichi wouldn't suspect a change in flashlight due to the lack of fingerprints appearing made no sense. And why does Kyouichi keep answering Tetsuo's questions about his house and the organization -_- But eh logics aside, still an overall tense and enjoyable episode.

The scene with the lock is the most ridiculous and absurd censorship I've seen in a long time... If it's a scene that seems "negative" to you, then why prolong it for so long and also with an explanation of the method and everything, it's yours. laughter. It's better if you make a brief scene without giving so much detail and avoid all the antics of pixelating it... Anyway, apart from that the story of this anime is still quite good...

it took until this episode to realize this show has a lot of poverty Death Note parallels.

Is Kyouichi really wrong to pursue Tetsuo? Tetsuo did kill Nobuto, and Kyouichi knows intuitively something is off. He's committed to self-preservation the same as Tetsuo. Who's the real hero in this story?

they censored the lock-picking lmaoo hentai moment. either they don't wanna educate animu fans on that or they just cba to properly animate it xD a hilarious decision either way.

I was starting to forget that they were enemies and not friends since they acted like frenemies and endured so many hardships together. Ultimately, this is survival of the fittest, so 1 of them has to die for the other one to be free.

I feel a bit sorry for Kyoichi and his mom. Kyoichi is not such a bad person and he has insane intuition! But he still is the one to blame, since he joined the Yakuza, jumped on the case with Nobuto and picks the fight with the Tosu family...

So will he be done for soon? Or will there be yet another plot twist? I can't wait to see what comes next! Truly Suspense at it's best.

I'm guessing that they censored that lock picking scene because they didn't want Japanese people getting ideas on how to break into other people's homes. I wonder what Kasen is planning at the end?

There isn't really a way to actually do this on any door that is properly fit. There just isnt a gap on the side because of the inner part of the door frame the door butts against. Only way to do it would be to drill a hold into the door frame if it's wooden but if you are going through that much effort might as well just destroy the whole lock or kick the door in instead of wasting time fiddling around with a wire.

I am not sure she was planning. I think Tetsuo dropped off something and she was looking for the spot he described.

Swapping out the flashlight.
Cry so the public will think Reika's at fault

Playing the members of the loose organisation against each other is the key to victory.

And Tetsuo is so good at playing the role of a fool that I find it funny

Another good episode although not as suspenseful as other ones. I also think that Tetsuo's best option may be to pit the yakuza members against each other and if he's somehow able to plant the evidence without Kyoichi knowing it may pay off. Another possibility would be if Kyoichi finds out what Tetsuo is up and decides to team up against the yakuza but I'm not sure if Kyoichi would agree to that.

Regarding the last scene of this episode, I'm thinking that what Kasen found was the package that Tetsuo was trying to plant in Kyoichi's apartment.

Of every kind of censorship I've seen in my life, pixelating a tool pick was certainly the first. Ignoring the reasons unknown, Tetsuo really comes up quick with plans, doesn't he? When the apartment plan didn't see success, he swapped the materials, which for the time being has given him some space to breathe.

I'm afraid Kyoichi will take the blame in the end.

Ik the production has never been the selling point of this series, but am I the only one who thought the “animation” for this episode was exceptionally bad, the scene where tetsuo was tied up and trying to convince Kyoichi that Takeda was trying to frame him was actually horrendous it was just the camera zooming in on the character that is talking and the character movement was so stiff. Am I reaching or do y’all agree?
