| As readers, we know it's the same person, but if you put yourself in the protagonist's shoes, being all stressed and tired from work, then it's nighttime, and the change in clothing is very different, you might not even notice it's the same person. I guess when the girl is working, she has a different tone of voice, which is the only way he could recognize her. |
