bruh the catastrophe is ppl forget?!

what a horrible flashforward into an alternate reality where the 1st most loved disappears. doesn't the 2nd most loved then become the most loved lol?

also, the bells are such a stupid deux ex machina. it makes sense since we kept seeing them, had a crescent, and were used constantly. but now they disappear/undid the catastrophe

the RANDOM UNEARNED POWERUP with the wand transformation LMAO brujhhhh

also her brother knew yue wasn't a human and kept watch over her the whole time

That was atrocious. I'm legitimately pissed at how lazily they handled that battle. Sakura has how many dozens of cards, and 90% of her victories throughout the entire series have defaulted to her just spamming Windy and Fly. You'd think for the final confrontation she'd have to think up some creative combination to win but no, as per usual, just throw out Windy and despite Yue not being apparently weak to it, it just captures him like he's a level 1 pokemon. The writers put absolutely zero thought into this. Twenty episodes of foreshadowing this battle and this is how it ended. Ridiculous. Not to mention she got a get out of jail free card for no real reason to try again when she'd already lost the first time despite there being a "no one is allowed to interfere" rule but y'know, the protagonist is immune to that I guess. I think it would've been a much happier ending if she'd actually lost for real. At least then the relationship between that pedophile teacher and the 10 year old girl would be over once and for all and I think everyone would be more comfortable with that.

@Shrimp_Tail You have some valid points, however, I don't think this show should be taken at face value, but metaphorically. In the grand scheme of things, the target audience is kids, and adults like us, who watch it, shouldn't be too critical, especially considering the great production value. It's a show that you turn your brain off at the end of the day and bask in the glory of relentless optimism and relaxation that this fantastic universe has to offer. Could it have been written more coherently? Absolutely. With that closure, I think that above all the creator's objective was to empower kids and give them the courage to take the first leap toward independence, and that's a nice message.

This episode was so confusing. They never explained why time, wood, amd windy did not work against Yue. He said the cards were "his" but I can't recall a point in the show where they say anything about specific cards belonging to the guardians or being aligned with the sun or moon. They also never explained why windy works on Yue in the end. The whole fight with Yue was so plot armored and they pulled half of it out of their ass. I am seriously thinking about dropping the show. This could have been dome so much better if they had only explained this stuff from the beginning instead of inventing it during the final fight and then not even bothering to come up with a solid reasoning for how Sakura won.

@Akunomi 46 eps in and this was your take?! sure they kept showing glimpses of the finale battle for a long time but show is still good enough w/o this card stuff.. tbf I felt like each episode involved a card because that was the theme of the anime but most of the good episodes are better off even without card hunting
I can understand the disappointment tho I personally didnt expect and honestly just skipped trough this finale
its a kind of show where finale just happened to exist for the sake of it, the heart if the show are its characters.. also I am a bit biased so this could sound nonsensical

I loved this so much.
Yue is so gorgeous and the dream sequence was heart-touching.
Sakura is adorable and her speech at the end made me happy.

I always though Sakura was going to plummet but thankfully it was the jump card leading her to Yue.
Ouch Sakura is taking a real beating.
Ah I thought it was a dream, Sakura managed to get through that little hurdle.
So Mizuki is a friend after all, helped Sakura out.
Awesome, new power and an upgraded staff/wand
Ok she beat Yue and is now the master, what happens from now on though is the big question.
Touya knew something was up with Yukito all along, well he did knew the difference between the real Sakura and the mirror one.
We get our first look at Clow himself.
I have ADD, ADHD & AUTISM, but this won't stop me. Let's keep having fun together.

..what a mahou shoujo episode haha.

I honestly liked the little silent glimpse into the world where Sakura wakes up into a world where everyone forgot their loved ones... it was so well-directed.. but but, why this conclusion to being defeated by the Judge - Yue... I didn't understand the co-relation between losing the right to be the Master of Clow Cards and the world where people forgot their most beloved.. Very illogical.. am I expecting too much from a mahou shoujo? :p

I also didn't like silly things like, Syaoran-Kero-Tomoyo standing sooooo faaaaaar from the Tokyo Tower, how could be hear and see the battle between Yue-Sakura xD ..they could've been placed somewhere near.

But still I loved the episode.. it was so well-done, despite some complaints on my side - I really enjoyed it and was into it.. touched my inner shoujo.

@silentview What? The whole show is about loving stuff. Kero also explicitly explains why losing love is the penalty for failing the judgment to give an in universe reason beyond the obvious thematic one.

Personally I was kind of bored during the dream sequence/alternate universe scene. I get it. All of her friendships and romances and stuff will disappear. Having Sakura walk around and go "kweh?" at everything for 8 minutes wasn't really needed to drive that home. And then Yue gets grabbed and drops immediately. I like how most Clow Card captures are just simple little puzzle interactions rather than fights because this show doesn't do combat in a very interesting way at all.
