Just like your name and weathering with you occurred in the same universe (if you didn't know this, the final scene in your name on the road where Taki and Mitsuha crossed each other, are connected to weathering with you, since during the ending scenes there was snow falling when they were running away from the police). But in suzume, they showed that Tokyo is a completely normal city, unlike the ending of weathering with you, where the entire Tokyo city was filled with water. So does this mean that suzume is not in the same universe as the other two? Or is there any other explanation?

I don't remember seeing a reference to any previous Makoto film, so I think in this film he tried a more separate approach, even the vocalized soundtrack by radwimps was more restrained appearing only in the credits, I think it was a more cohesive and individual film.

Thankfully, they’re separated.

After the timeline-destroying mess up in Tenki no Ko (“it’s 2024 and it’s been constantly raining in Tokyo since 2019, but also Kimi no Na showed us a clear sky in Tokyo in 2022, so forget keeping a consistent timeline in YOUR OWN MOVIE, SHINKAI :/“) I think Shinkai learned that cameos aren’t always a good idea if they risk ruining the cohesion of a previous film....

Definitely not. No cameos from Your Name or Weathering with You were shown and the settings (in particular Tokyo) seem to be unaffected by the events in the previous movies. Think this was honestly a better approach as it allows for a much more cohesive narrative in comparison to the other films, though of course it would still have been cool if they did crossover in some form.

Yeah there is, on one of the train scenes when suzume is sitting hugging the chair with her mask on, the lady sitting next to her is the same lady that was sitting next to Mitsuha in your name on the train.

Nope, it’s a separate world on its own, unlike your name and weathering with you.

In Your Name, it's the scene where Mitsuha goes to Tokyo to meet Taki.

In Suzume no Tojimari, it's the scene right after Daijin runs away in another boat. Suzume and Mr.Chair are known by the public and thus have to hide their identity.

In the scene where Suzume is patching up Souta in her room, it shows some shoe boxes that I believe are from the MC from Garden of Words.

Also one of her outfits hanging in the room looks like what Mitsuha wears at the end of Your Name.

The box Suzume digs up in her previous house has the name "Agartha" on it, which I think is a reference to a previous Shinkai film, Journey to Agartha.

Your Name and Weathering With You aren't related either. Just because there's a cameo, doesn't actually mean that it's related

While it may not be a direct cameo, I think it is worth noting that Serizawa (Souta's friend) is voiced by Ryuunosuke Kamiki, who also voiced Taki in Kimi no Na ha

There are a few subtle connections to his previous works, but they stay unnoticed by most viewers. Google "Suzume easter eggs" if you wanna know.

Having easter eggs doesnt mean the plot has to be connected. Cornetto Trilogy (Shawn of the dead, hot fuzz and world end) are a "trilogy" and the only connecting part is the ice cream

I have to be honest I dont remember the plot of Weathering with you at all, something about fish in the sky. I just remember it looked amazing.

Suzune is the same, looked good but I already start to forget the plot 10 minutes after watching it.

This just makes me appreciate Your Name all the more, because I can still recall plot and characters even after years.
