Yeah. It's really leaning more toward Kondo being originally planned to be a part of the Joui Warriors initially, right? Or at least he might have been designed after that character. Unfortunately for us, it doesn't look like Sorachi-sensei has any intent to explain that so, we will Be Forever Yorozuya baffled T_T

I just wish they could have shown us a scene where Gintoki, Takasugi, and Katsura were running from a missile, but a flying tin can hit it and explode. But they won't notice and just keep on running upwards as we see Kurokono from afar smiling <3
