No spoilers obvs, I've only watched up to episode three but is this plot going to get dark? I mean the very likable characters with a kinda happy go lucky town, and the main character trying to learn explosion magic. With us knowing that sometimes you cant really control advanced magic. I know this is a prequel and it is unlikely that it does but it sounds so much like a potentially sad character backstory. I also kinda forget why Megimum meets with the main cast in the parent story

Have you ever watch KonoSuba? The main series? I mean, the first 3 minutes show this isn't this kind of story.

Because they've changed some stuff from the original content already, I think even the parts that were just the tiniest bit dark have been removed. I'm thinking the darkest stuff we're going to be left with is megumin murdering small animals for skill points lol. If anything, it should get sillier as the series progresses.

I've read the LN and no I wouldn't say it gets "dark", it will get "tense" for sure here and there but nothing too bad.
For the most part will stay the charming, silly fun that it is!

You watched the first three episodes, and you think this series will get dark? seriously? Did you actually watch them at all or just skim through them? Even without the original series, you can tell this is going to be a slapstick comedy from the first 5 minutes.
