You can indeed go for the Light Novel , which is the better source material , but note that the story also goes downhill past the few first Volumes. | Season 2 isn’t abhorrently bad. I’d say it’s still watchable but don’t expect anything better than what you’ve seen in the first season. |
| Skipping a season because it’s bad? That’s like skipping Dragon Ball, Naruto, or any of the jojo parts. You should let go based off other people’s opinion. You need to watch what you like. And if you like the show I would watch it completely and not skip a reason based on someone else review |

Tip… MAL rating is not good to follow either. Good anime are rating low while bad anime are rated good, it’s really strange. |

| it has bad reviews, deservingly, but it's not so bad that you'll hate shield hero for it. More than that, if s3 ends up being good, you'll enjoy it that much more. I don't think reading the novel or manga is a better alternative. I can't speak for the novel, but I tried going through the manga and it was not as good as the show. |

| Afaik, they made staff changes for S3. I think it should be better, but I doubt Shield Hero will ever be as good as S1 was. Also, as a dubbed watcher, Billy Kametz will be missed. RIP Billy |

If someone liked season 1 , they are going to be disappointed by season 2. The only reason someone should watch season 2 it is just so they can follow the continuation for season 3. If not, they might as well don't watch season 2 at all. But I am willing to hear you complaints if you want to share. |

I don't understand what you mean by saying "change in genre". I had no complaints with the second season and disagreed with the ones people listed. |
