Literally using the fact that the physical printed pages of manga are usually devoid of colour in order to portray a plot where the entire world has been drained of colour, except the manga actually is one of the rare ones to use colour in the actual paper when plot requires to. Ill bet this is the reason why it got canceled, because they are forced to specifically use coloured ink just for this series in the magazine

I reckon there is no physical way this could get an anime, perhaps unless they do it like sin city where all black and white except for a few

the anime equivalent would be something like the objects have 60 fps instead of 12 like anime xd
