The Devil Is a Part-Timer! (light novel)

Is there a genuine possibility/chance that there will be a different ending compared to that of the light novel? Well this is what I think

1) Why would a series after 8 years get a second season when it has such a controversial ending which in turn directly affected the popularity of the series. The author even got threats.

2) Usually anime are made to promote their source which are the light novels, but in this case the light novel has already finished, which means that making a new anime with the same ending would bring no profit and the series and the author would just get more hate
3) The author after completing the series has other works which did not end up as popular as his previous one. This could be his strategy to make another season with the ending that the majority want so that he can rebuild his reputation and his other works would be eyed more.

As always this is just speculation on my part and no hate to Chiho shippers, but I personally didn’t agree with the fact that after building such a relationship with so much development, it ended like that…

hopefully we will get more seasons but it’s such a big series I doubt they will have more than 4-5 seasons. Maybe if they do it with 24 episodes each season we will get to see the ending
