Honestly, I'm really enjoying this season so far, pacing is well done and it's actually an interesting story ^^ Pedram said: Ventus_S said: Yeah, surprised that not many notice the tree is falling right on their direction according to the angle they cut. | -Kirito was on the ground writhing in immense pain, only to suddenly be able to swing a sword with greater strength and precision. Rather pointless and only serves to raise eyebrows. -How did Kirito know that he had those sword skills? Just two episodes ago he learned that sword skills existed. Figured either he'd have to learn them or he'd already know he had them from the start. -Selka really undersold her abilities. -That goblin boss gave them quite a bit of EXP, and in Euguo's case it's probably akin to putting a low level character into your party and watching them skyrocket in level after a difficult boss. -Adventure begins! -I like how Kirito's real life status is being kept a mystery. |

| Man, this was great! Kirito is still Kirito and the way he overcomes his enemies hasn't change a bit but he's now a lot more mature and the story is too, I love it. The atmosphere of that little village felt genuine, and character developement is really solid so far, it's almost like they started monomyth and controlling the reins of the plot skillfully. If anything, it's feels miles different from every previous SAO arc, more intimate and personal. Seems like the author's writing matured a lot too. |

| Kirito and Eugeo save Selka from the Goblins. Eugeo was able to overcome his fears and finally fight instead of doing nothing. Eugeo gets brutally injured in battle and Kirito goes beast mode to take out the boss goblin. The animation was freaking beautiful. Selka uses a spell that transfers durability from her and Kirito to Eugeo to save his life. Eugeo finally completes his calling of chopping down the demon tree with the sword since his authority level exceeded that of the sword. He chooses his next calling of a swordsman and together him and Kirito head out on an adventure towards the central city and Alice. Solid episode, solid pacing, solid arc so far. Looking forward to more. |
| Kirito had more trouble with that goblin leader than I thought, I guess he can't use his swordskill from Aincard. Possibly only the abilities he learned in a weaker form. |
| Aincrad style, NICE!!! Loved that part. Sadly no Kirito double sword skill, but maybe in the future! Nice episode, kind of weird how fast that durability went down. You'd guess someone thought about using something else, but apparently for 7 generations they just used that axe. And off they go! |
