I was pleasently surprised by how good the Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan OVA and after checking out the manga I can confirm it's a faithful adaptation. The manga and the OVA both elicit the same sense of mystery and dread. These antagonists are genuinely scarier than most of the ones in the original series. I'm glad Araki is going back to his horror roots.
