I have been working on this for some time. This frontend is basically a easy to set up approach to using these scripts. The program itself can be launch when you need it and you can start/stop the scrobbling so you won't have it running randomly when you are not watching anything.

The latest version is 1.2.1b which is a improvement over the old one. I clean up the scrobbling setup box and also added a log viewer. Still uses 1.2 MAL Updater OS X since 1.3 scripts vanished...

Source code for the frontend can be obtained from github and the frontend is entirely open sourced (GPLV3)

I just got this and downloaded but it says there's an error of scrobbling. I have to reinstall and try it again. I reinstalled 3 times and I still get the same error.

This can be a permissions error.

Remove the malupdater folder from the Application Support in the Library folder and try again.

or better, do this. Type this in the terminal. This will give the correct permissions for the folder.
sudo chmod -R:777 "/Library/Application Support/malupdater/"

In the future, I'll just may just have the malupdater folder in the same folder with the GUI.

Update: I have released GUI 1.2.2b, which now have the scripts inside the application bundle and the application generate it in the same location. This should reduce the need for an installer or permission problems:

The MAL Updater OS X frontend is now depreciated after these months (lol) since I have created a completely native scrobbler in Cocoa that doesn't use the ruby scripts at all. Therefore, the frontend is considered obsolete and everyone should use the 2.0 Beta X release that is easier to set up. The MAL Updater OS X 2.0 Betas is located in the same download page as MAL Client OS X.
