Great ending! With the mother ship gone NieA still has yet to tell us what else mother ship told her. She stare into space like she is still receiving a message to continue building her UFO ships.

I want more!!

A cute slice-of-life show.
It's good to watch this if you want to watch something to relax to.
It's not complex and the characters are well thought out.
It has it's moments of slow pace and a bit of unnecessary scenes, but overall it was fine.
This show won't top other ABe series, but it is still worth watching once.

"The end of summer. Why was I so depressed? I know it's not actually because I was so tired of working or studying. That wasn't it at all. I just felt like there was this empty space in my life, like what were supposed to be the happiest days of my life were slipping away. My precious place would also be gone someday. I felt sad when I thought about it.

Or maybe, maybe it was that moment when NieA wasn't there. NieA always kept telling me that the mothership was calling to her. What was it the mothership really wanted to tell her before it disappeared? Did NieA get the message? Sayanora.

After all this time, sometimes I feel like I'll never understand her at all. What is it that really goes on in her mind? I'll never know. But I'm starting to understand that's alright. "

I agree that this show will never top the other ABe shows, but this show is just asking to get analyzed. After rewatching this again, it's starting to feel closer and closer to that feeling when I watched Haibane Renmei. Makes me wanna take this show apart and see how each cog works.

I really liked this show!! It was fun and laid-back. Nice break from all the serious anime I've been watching recently! Definitely'll watch it again

Genzou is awesome tbh.

The talk about the mothership was interesting as well but overall, this was an okay series nothing extraordinary though. It's one of those shows I can watch to relax my mind a bit. 6/10

the style which concludes this title is really powerful and refreshing indeed. Carrying the deeper meaning of the aliens' existence on Earth, and the inseparable relationship between the long condemned mothership and NieA was really well done, and it touched me. Some may complain that this title does not live up to Lain and Haibane's reputation, but I beg to differ. Albeit, this show might be a little too comical to be serious (with Shaft being Shaft), however, NieA Under 7 isn't just your typical slapstick comedy with crude jokes. The whole story conceals a dark and deep philosophy, yet "bright" enough to bring a vibrant end to this long sought title. 8/10.

I loved this quote and the scene.

My sentiment exactly.

It really gave me the feeling of a nostalgic summer, truly magical and relaxing.
ABe is just great in what he does, such a minimalistic anime but the atmosphere he creates, the execution and simple themes he touches makes this series stand out.It doesn't have a real concept and setting (yes it's somewhat there but not as much as in his other works) but he still manages to include some of his "trademarks" all naturally through the characters, their interactions and atmosphere.
The soundtrack was great aswell, some scenes were just masterfully presented and the world felt really idyllic, that all crafted such a charming ambience.
A really underrated anime imo that managed to touch me with its sentimental tone, down to earth way to tell a story and the summer-flair it had.Through it's simple nature it was extremely relaxing and I enjoyed it more than Haibane Renmei and SE Lain tbh.I love all of his works though.

If you enjoyed Niea, definitely look up Abe's "Pochiyama at the Pharmacy" one-shot. Character-driven slice-of-life humor.

After my awful experience with lain show I checked the wiki says this was made when they were cooling off and so became curious to see what kind of cooling process they was undergoing in this show! and after watching first few episodes really surprised me and started to really liking it for its relaxing and nostalgic moments. The characters were nice especially their development flowed natural (yeah not much changes at the end of day) and the story feel easy-going and sometimes realistic enough and enjoyed its subtle humor. Not to mention the dub was fantastic imho and also thankfully it also had some of the aspect that I liked in SE and minuses its bad parts. Overall, great summer sol show.

Man, I enjoyed this so much more the second time around. The first 6 episodes still had a bit too much of that dumb humor going on, but it really picked up from there. I gave it a 7 the first time, but I'm raising it to an 8. The atmosphere was incredible at times, and Mayuko's become one of my favourite characters. It'll be nice to come back to this sometime, maybe in another four years or so.

Poor people exclusive jokes in a anime, the Japanese really have every kind to offer. This is a good show, solid 7/10. This is like Charcoal Feather Federation but with domestic poor setting and without emotional driving forces, but it sure is a lot of fun. The jokes reminded me of the self deprecation jokes on Twitter but in this show they made it less annoying and more acceptable. I love the main girl although there are many better girls out there. I never thought there would be an anime like this, at first i thought this would be a generic slice of life but with Yoshitoshi ABe illustrations and shades. A hidden better than average gem. This anime is underrated for being under the average score 7, yet lives up to its name.

Touching ending, but ngl, most of the themes didn't really resonate with me, nevertheless, I still appreciated them and how they were portrayed.

I enjoyed the show more for the wackiness and characters. Pretty good show overall.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

I absolutely needed this Anime right now, I don't know why but it I just did. I feel so happy and chilled out, a superb Iyakshikei series with ABe's beautiful character designs (THIS GUY DIDN'T GET ENOUGH WORK!!). Such a fun and simple story that frankly didn't go anywhere significant but I enjoyed the journey immensely regardless. I guess my only disappointment is not getting just that bit more closure on things but sometimes it's best not to.

Well, as usual for AbE's works, a lot of stuff went unexplained. Either way, it was an enjoyable experience overall, really deserves to be over the 7.00 mark yet I don't feel it is a masterpiece whatsoever.

7/10 overall, maybe 8 but I feel like it lacks something. Leaving it at 7.5

This is a very unique series. Even being fan of Haibane Renmei I don't consider Niea_7 to be less, it's simply different. Rewatching it more than 10 years later I like it even more than before. Hard to say, why. It's a masterpiece in its simplicity and goofyness. Much credit to seyuu who made the caracters so alive.
