| Like most chinese anime - the animation is bad appart from the VFX. I had forgotten that the plot in the initial chapters of the manga were awkward. If it does have a season 2, the plot should be better in it as the author made a more meaningful story with every new arc. I liked it given I read the manga, but the way it is atm, I can't recommend the anime to anyone, only the manga |

| Hearing a character named Zero being treated like All Might from Boku no Hero was really funny. Sadly the anime is super average even if the animation is pretty good. I do like the MC's style a lot tho. 5/10. If it gets an S2 I hope it gets better. |

| Oh come on, after all that the mc doesn't get the girl?? At least it was an open ending, so maybe in the source material they eventually end up together. Nonetheless, I liked the shorter 15 min long episodes, it made this an enjoyable anime to binge in between a busy schedule. |

| We see the reality of Jie Lin, his body is littered with scars which has caused him to discharge from service; He doesn't want to worry his little sister. Speaking openly to the rogue hero Zi Hou, he says that he quit being a hero a long time ago and only registered to blend in. The background music suits the moment at 07:00, Jie Lin is such a mysterious character I wonder if we'll get to see more power scales if there is a sequel. Series itself was pretty shallow but the depth lay in Jie Lin and his persona as the legendary hero Zero. I wished they covered more of that in this series but only two episodes did the series justice (11 and 12) the rest felt like some establishment. The ED of Hero Return is so emotionally invoking, it sounds like something that'd play during a Berserk or Monster scene.  The final scene, it seems like Jie Lin had an arch enemy captured in prison that felt his energy once again. This is getting interesting, I would like to see if there are any more development into that mysterious character as well. |
