| It's been a long time coming and it's finally here actual peak fiction. Jokes aside, the art direction appears to be really strong and it seems pretty good considering they're funding it all by themselves. |

But it'll probably go to Atelier Pondarc, since the Animation Producer of Re:Zero is there. I hope MAPPA never invest in Light Novels beyond this tbh, because frankly most if not all of them is amateurish. If they were to invest again, hopefully it's like this where they completely fund it themselves. I'd doubt MAPPA will ever get their full hands on Re:Zero when Kadokawa is there. |
| Usually not a fan of Isekai. But I like MAPPA - and I dislike that they often adapt stuff that I dislike (cause too much action or too dark with the setting - did not watch Dorehedoro and Chainsaw man). Original works ... they had some good ones. And the adaptions of non-action stuff like Dance Dance Danseur - great. I wonder about this one. The setting seems like nothing unusual - the typical "guy in an isekai world with some non-combat skills" setting. We had this with other similar anime. (One with some farmer guy I think - just recently?) The preview looked nice though. The char seems a bit older in that other world. Not like a student reincarnated as studend or old guy reincarnated as young boy. More like the adult in the description (27 yo) ... transported into the world as himself at the same physical age. (Well ... the description actually says "transported" - but you never can be sure about that. :D Some Isekai writers might just transport them into a different body as well.) With MAPPA as studio ... could get a big deal. Also I liked anime like Isekai Shokudou. Maybe this will be similar with an episodic setup (or at lest calm episodic stories in between) ... with the guy "fighting" monsters with the food (that then start to like him). Lol. :D |
