| After my scathingly bad review of the first cour of this season, I'm glad to be back with a fresh and enjoyable start to the second one. I'll start with the only two cons I have: Those aside, this episode alone felt better than anything the previous cour had to offer. I was engaged with what was going on at the screen at all times and it really did feel like I'm back to what this show was back in Season 1. The comedy in particular was really good good, I genuinely laughed at the bits. It was a Real shame that the original buddy duo is in last place When all is said and done you can see that the buddies are actually quite alike. Further to that, it's only now that I realise how good of a fit Tiger and Bunny really are, since Bunny's serious and introverted persona makes him seem more mature, this is why he fits well with a middle-aged person like Tiger (him being somewhat childish also brings him closer to Bunny's mature immaturity) "Fire High" would have been a better name. I wonder when the Little Aurora/HOPE old lady from the posters is going to come into play, this has to be the most obvious Chekhov's gun in production history. Same for the new cute toys, I bet that they have bombs installed into them or something. New ED but same OP? That's really unorthodox, maybe Unison Square Garden is too expensive to book twice for a show of this caliber. The ED is fire though. No after-credits scene? That's an unexpected change in direction but I'm definitely not against it. |
