lol @ one year later. Did they really date because of the promise? KajiKaji's character also looks matured, not just the main guy.

It's good that the guy main guy admired approved him because it was a heated match.

The final singles match between Mizushima and Yusa, it's what the anime has been building up to for the past 6 months.

All strengths and weaknesses come into play for this final match, which Yusa controls the 1st match 19-21, and Mizushima controls the 2nd with a close shave. The 3rd and final match which saw the unchallenged team ace won 19-21, Mizushima put up a good fight even if it was a crushing, but meaningful defeat, to carry on as the new team ace.

And as promised, both Yusa and Ryo's sister Rika really dated lol after a year. And within that same time span, Mizushima is and will continue to grow to new heights.

A pretty forgettable show, all things considered.

Well, this was .... I don't even know. Was it really necessary to have a flashback "filler" of Yusa wincing due to his foot, at around 5:26, when the actual thing happened at 4:23? Was it really necessary to break off the final game's final moments like that? Was it really necessary to force in the girl talk about crushes at the end? Not to mention "one year later"...? I kinda feel bad, but with this last episode I'm also glad there won't be more chance to make things even worse.

I'd love to watch more! I actually think they should extend another cour to cover events in third year instead of having a time-skip ending. One cour covering one year of event is a pretty nice pace.

Yusa is undefeatable in his highschool time, what a monster! Judging from a limited revealing, Yusa continue to play double with Yokokawa, suggesting that they go to the same university.

But what about Yusa and Ryou's sister, Rika? I guess it's still in a "it's complicated" status. Meaning they're not dating, however, Yusa is not giving up on Rika, while Rika doesn't see other guys other than Yusa. Maybe it's better this way, they seem to be in a healthy relationship despite not having a boyfriend-girlfriend label. In fact, Rika doesn't seem to be interest in romantic relationship with anyone, but she's just happy to be around with Yusa.

Ebihara sensei make Yokohama Minato (which I heard is based on a real school in Yokohama) the strongest badminton school in his first try, and he doesn't even play badminton (he was a football player), I think he's the real MVP.

Matsuda doesn't dating with that girl despite a time-skip, I think he's really not into her, or anyone, he's really focus on badminton, and his family (specifically his dad), and he's just being nice to all those who flirt him, but he's not gonna invest any second of his time in romantic activity.

Now the main guy, Ryou, we all know he's already a successful badminton player, but just like Matsuda, he doesn't dating with anyone. In fact, he might not even know that there's a girl that interest in him (to be fair, that girl is not even sure if she want to seek a romantic relationship with him). But one of the most interesting thing is that he seems to grow up a lot after his sister move out. Hmmm I'm not say his sister is a negative factor or anything, but maybe it's about experiencing something new allows him to grow. He always live with his sister before his third highschool year. So he has more freedom and he has to think for himself when he run into troubles.

Almost perfect, I say almost because there's no fanservice for me. No onsen, no Yusa running around naked. Compare to Ryman's Club which has a lot of fanservice to the point of almost confirming a real slash fiction, Love All Play could show more love instead of being all play.

The dialogue in this episode in particular was an absolute laughing stock, I cant believe the authors editor hadn't closed him down after the second chapter, it's a pity such lacklustre dialogue and development was given to waste the directors potential.

Finally over, what a waste of time this was

OLM you first, you did such a good work on Summertime render and for this the literal minimum amount of effort, sure there's no cgi but there's also no animation whatsover, a pure slideshow Ahiru no Sora style

The cast was boring, some had decent interactions betweem themself but overall nothing memorable, especially the main character

badminton wasn't put in details nor made exciting in the least, you just see these guys in 3 mins matches every episode or so,a smash frame, the scoreboard and game over

even the finale match that was so teased was around 10 minutes and mostly skipped with just two cool animated scenes,no intensity no hype nothing

the most plain sports anime out there, and here i was hoping it would pick up in the second court but fuck no its stayed the same

I'm finally free from it thank god.

Ryman's Club stays as the Badminton anime king

And to finish Shoot to the Future is a much better sports anime and i'm not even joking

4.5/10 will pretend it doesn't exist.

I loved the first half of this anime, the training aspect and the comradery at school was fun to follow, especially given the fact that I went through similar things in both badminton and more so tennis, when I was still at school. Second half pacing was pretty subpar though and was difficult to get invested in anything they played and the outcome of any match. Slideshow animation as well unfortunately. Another average badminton anime. Still better than shitty Rymans Club and slightly worse than Hanebado from memory. 6/10.

About the last games final moments being cut up… It feels more natural that way. Personally I think it’s the most dramatic and complete kind of ending. I can’t imagine an ending where the events were in chronological order - it would make things feel incomplete and it would lack effect. Anyway this is just what I think

I only watched this bc I couldn’t find anything interesting to watch and I don’t really regret it.
The character development was pretty good. Appearance-wise… I feel like Mizushima could’ve had a more unique aspect to his appearance - I kept forgetting he was the main character - but it wasn’t a big deal.
At first I was expecting Yusa to have some kind of deep and dark backstory to justify his attitude… a bit disappointing but it was still pretty interesting.

Oh wow they truly fools me for a sec with the gesture of Ryo and Yusa at the interview section. Turns out Yusa still manage to be a better and gives Ryo the last goodbye hit through their match. How wishy-washy the rotten prince is, there xd.

At the other hand, its also funny how Yusa and Ryo's sister actually turns out not to be the couple, yet, right? But those last scene of them, actually be the point where they might become a real couple, soon. Good for him, but not good for Love All Play at general.

Cause this final still lacks the last touch to finish the job in a positive way, for me. However, i repeat from the last episode, the second cour is surprisingly manage to be better as i expect. So for those reason, imma slightly change how i see the show, and giving this a very balanced way.

5/10, and don't forget to push forward, folks!

It was a great final episode with great animation. Maybe not so special overall but I liked the characters and enjoyed seeing their growth. This was adapted from a novel, and it kinda shows. It wasn't an epic sports anime with insane matches but a down to earth story about working hard for your dreams and achieving them. Yusa is a fun character as well, especially while interacting with Rika-san and Ryo is a good boy whose strength is having fun playing badminton.
I think it was a good anime that tied its story well from the beginning to an end. 7/10

It was just my 3rd sports anime and maybe that's why I liked it

Yeah it was quite boring at few moments but atleast the conclusion, I mean the last episode definitely was a game changer for me

This episode had a pretty good animation imo along with that feeling of that yeah now it's going to end and that hype as well

Although Mizushima's growth felt unnatural at some instances but still that doesn't takes away the fact that this show surpassed my expectations by miles

I like badminton and this anime did pretty well to keep that element visible in the story

I am glad I watched it as I can easily say it was 7/10
A good anime

Would you look at that, the final episode actually had some animation and even a pretty good use of sound at moments. Showing us the entire match was still too much effort for them, seemingly.

If they wanted to build up the drama and
that was kinda poorly done IMO.

And

It wasn't an epic series finale IMO; it was so-so, very lukewarm-ish.

I have just one question, does the title is really Love all... play? because they said it a lot, but like: double 0, play.

Yes, it has nothing to do with the episode but that's what I'm thinking at the end... not the worst anime but...

That last episode was really something. Sakuga was very well done, making the last game genuinely fun to watch. Honestly didn't know which of Yusa or Mizushima was gonna win. Overall, average sports show, but the last episode was very good.

At least the final match between Yusa and Ryou had some good animation. Overall I enjoyed seeing the friendship of the players but the rest was honestly quite bland to sit through.

The animation was cool, but that stuff was mid. Like how they would suddenly gain strength after someone shouting their name it just felt really cliché to watch, the story was kinda built up to that one final singles match but still, eih was it really necessary.

What a borefes, finally finished it through willpower. The mc is unlikeable and dull af, the rival is annoying, the teammates are one-note, the rival teams are not even that, just braindead small fry lacking any ability to be threatening or even worth a second glance. No stakes whatsoever, except maybe the last game. And I only rated this series 6 and not lower because it didn't go full retarded shounen at the end by giving the mc undeserved victory. That and Yusa getting what he worked hard for, though that doesn't make him any less of an annoying idiot. Admittedly, there are more annoying presences in this anime, like those groupies that trail after Matsuda literally like shit after a goldfish.
All in all, Hanebado, for example, was a better anime, despite Nagisa being a stupid seething bitch and getting undeserved wins. At least Ayanator was really good.
