I really hope nothing bad happens to the kitty...

And I still have no idea what author tries to tell and what direction he is trying to take.

This is a really weird development but I'm sure there's some sort of message this is building to.

Freaking Oshimi Shuzo. He manages to make me feel creeped out by a scene of a cat sitting on someone's lap.

He did the same putting our hearts back after breaking them in Aku No Hana. I didn't have to wait for every chapter to come out when I read that, but I've gotta admit waiting for a new chapter while he weaves this slow burn epilogue is making me feel impatient.

So far, I feel like it's shaping up ot be a fairly straightforward story about traumatized survivor of parental abuse, having to come to terms with his abuser long after she lost capability to inflict harm (or remember her guilt in the first place). Though knowing Oshimi, I can't really bet on anything here.

I had dropped this Manga 3 years ago at Chapter 51 only to re-read it from the start to here, finally caught up, took me a month

That were my thoughts too, it seems like deeper character development is ahead. He'll probably end up getting to know his mother, her motives, etc. But I guess we still have to prepare for more depression.

I also feel this is leading to some kind of happy ending. At least I hope.

Well... at least they found the cat. Knowing how a cat has symbolized Seiichi in this story, I hope Mii won't end up like Seiichi did. I don't want this cat to be hurt by that wicked Seiko.

On a side note, the food looks delicious.

it's like he keeps switching how he sees her, sometimes he's looking at her like his mother as a kid and other's he realises she's just an old lady that he doesn't care because he knows he shouldn't
