| Lol, Ruka is being polite to impress Kazuya's parents. Kinda cute imo. First half episode was a comedy fest. Honestly though, Ruka made quite an impression and is actually a smart move from her perspective. The fact that Mizuhara showed up added more moments to this episode. However, I think the catch of the episode is Ruka's kiss with Kazuya. Out of nowhere! |

| RUKA MASTERCLASS LETS FUCKING GOOOO. Was her birthday yesterday so fitting she carries the show today. On one hand I loved Ruka’s aggressiveness today, I also felt irrationally angry with how Kazuya treated her. She deserves so much better than this loser. Going for the kiss was unexpected, I thought she’d slap him or just walk out, but I love the tenacity. Chizuru leaving her sickly grandmother in the hospital to go see that dweeb for his bday and people think she’s best girl? Lmao |

| Great episode! It's Kazuya's birthday tradition to eat with his family and his grandma is insistent on it... She asked when Chizuru's birthday was only for Kazuya to tell her it had already passed... She was very over dramatic about it xD. And now she wants to host a joint birthday party?!! Seems Chizuru is visiting her grandmother at 5 though and Kazuya thinks she won't be able to come... until she tells him 6 is ok! Ruka calls him and screams 'happy birthday!' very loudly into his ear... Seems she has also realised Chizuru will be at his party! When Kazuya goes outisde, Ruka is standing there ready to go to his house to celebrate his birthday! Honestly Ruka you are such a loser... She brings a present and is trying to get points with Kazuya's grandma... Seems she wants to also be called Ruka-hime lol. She got Kazuya a necktie. HER HELPFUL GRANDAUGHTER AND HELPFUL DAUGHTER APPEAL ARE MAXED OUT!!! Chizuru is late so Kazuya's grandma asks him to call her but he can't do it as he hasn't and still can't add her as a friend... Ruka tells a sob story about her grandma in Hokkaido being dead and Kazuya's grandma's scent reminding her of her... Kazuya's grandma says Ruka can think of her as her Tokyo grandma and rely on her and then Ruka asks her if she can be her real grandma!!! Kazuya gets a text message from Chizuru asking him if he has a minute but Ruka is about to say she loves Kazuya more than Chizuru!!! Before that, luckily Chizuru rings and asks to speak to Kazuya's grandma and tells her that she is late as her grandma isn't doing too well... NICE SAVE! Ruka talks to Chizuru about how she will make Kazuya hers today. Chizuru thinks that she could possibly reveal to his family she is a rental girlfriend so tells her grandma that she was supposed to be at Kazuya's party today... And her grandma makes her go! When Chizuru arrives, Nagomi is extremely happy! Unlike a certain person called Ruka... She even asks to pay respects at the family alter which earns her the admiration of all the family! Ruka of course can't believe she didn't think of this! Ruka pulls Kazuya by the necktie...AND KISSES HIM!!! Looking forward to the next episode! |

| Oh wow, celebrating the simp's birthday, and to have Mizuhara's birthday pass before Kazuya's, apparently it's akin to sin of his ailing grandmother's thoughts. How weird this is though to have a combined birthday. Of course, Chizuru has to tend to her grandmother in hospital, but at least she can make it a bit later, so all hopes aren't dashed just yet. Of all girls, Ruka comes in to sweep the competition, knowing full well that Mizuhara's gonna pop by anyways. Oh well, we already know that his grandmother is a full bias for Mizuhara, but Ruka is determined not to lose her own standing while the famed angel is gone, and in a short time. So then, it's to the emergency hotline...and the simp isn't courageous enough to make a simple phone call. And while Ruka literally is at full speed ahead, Kazuya is saved by Mizuhara's call. It's sad that Mizuhara can't be around because her grandmother isn't doing great, but for Ruka to just cut though the call by grabbing Kazuya's phone, it's plain jam rude though. But for her grandmother to be alive and well after hearing Kazuya's name, yep...family approved to arrive just on time. Kazuya, thank your heavens that Mizuhara saved your ass, and is already displaying a maturity level that's worthy of her best girlfriend moniker that's ready to be a wife. Kazuya can cry tears of relief...but Ruka ain't all done yet, and sealing it with a kiss, that's gotta be the most jankiest but instinctive behaviour of hers, like forever. REEEEEE |

| Large scale birthday parties with families are easily the worst moments ever. Grans anger is a literal weapon lol. Always maintain the smile while seething inside huh. Still gotta admire Ruka's determination though. Even when miles away Chizuru's counter to Ruka was excellent timing. But her arrival on scene was what proved to be the best counter. Still despite the happiness of the birthday looks like another flare up has occurred on the Chizuru- Ruka battlefront. |

| My take on the episode. Ruka is going out of her way to stand out for Kazuya's parents and she wants only to be Kazuya's girlfriend, so she goes and acts all kind and whatnot, then this kiss scene happens out of nowhere what took me by a big surprise, Ruka really wants to show to Kazuya that she only belongs to him, I mean if you saw the calling scene where Kazuya was calling with Chizuru, Ruka comes and yeets the phone out of his hand and literally says to Chizuru that she doesn't need to come to the birthday party, she really doesn't like Chizuru i think because she is afraid that Kazuya will end up with Chizuru, I mean i say this again but when Kazuya wanted to go to the bathroom, Ruka literally took his by his tie and went like "yeah fuck it" and kissed him but on the other hand Kazuya is too stupid to realize that Ruka tries her best to be his girlfriend and he literally shoves her away or something just to be with Chizuru and Kazuya still lying to his grandma that Chizuru is Kazuya's girlfriend, this all seems so weird to me, the MC is still irritating and whatnot but i guess he has a hard time dealing with an actual girlfriend and an rental girlfriend, Mami and Sumi nowhere to be found though, Idc for Mami but i like to see Sumi in the last 3 ep's. |

| Kazuya needs to consider what it is to be the "ideal BOYFRIEND". Kazuya keeps calling Chizuru and Ruka the "ideal girlfriends", but has he even just once stopped and thought what being the "ideal BOYFRIEND" might be?? After all he's in a real-but-fake relationship with Chizuru, at the same time being in a fake-but-real relationship with Ruka. He sees them as being top-tier girlfriends, so maybe he should start thinking about he to be a better- oh yeah I forgot, this guy has next to zero character growth. Why reason does Chizuru have to care even a little about Kazuya? We all have our problems with this show, but the most significant one for me is: why tf does Chizuru, even in the slightest, give a single f*ck about Kazuya at all? She has no reason whatsoever to bother with him.... but then I remember their grandmas. Both their grandmas think they are in a relationship, and both love their grandmas dearly so... yeah it's a stretch but I guess it makes sense why Chizuru still even allows Kazuya to be in her life. As to why the other girls are all over him.... As to why Ruka is obsessed with Kazuya and why Mami still seems to give af about him, it's similar and simple reasoning: they're both a little crazy in the head; so I won't question them. As for Sumi, she's been in this season for like one episode, so I guess the author doesn't give af about her anymore and is now irrelevant for now at least. These past few episodes were.... "fun", at least. All that being said, I like how the past few episodes are going. It's at least kind of the bare minimum what most of us want from this show, that being dumb.... "fun", for lack of a better term. I mean it's sort of amusing to see Ruka go to war with Chizuru, or Ruka go to war with Mami.... dang this season is basically just Ruka vs. everybody Wait what?? SOMETHING happened?? But not really, probably... And after several episodes of nothing happening, finally SOMETHING of slight significance has happened, that of course being the little smoochie-smooch that Ruka gave Kazuya. Although that was probably written in there for nothing more other than the reason to give the audience a small shot of adrenaline to keep us excited and to deceive us into thinking that some interesting development is on the horizon. When in reality, that kiss is probably going to mean next to jack-sh*t by the next episode. Ruka doesn't know how to play othello. Also in the othello imagery scene, I like how Chizuru's pieces just started showing up in random places instead of appearing in straight lines. Yup that's definitely how you play.... ok anyway that's enough I've given this show way more attention that it deserves already |

| Kinda funny how Chizuru and Kazuya's grandmas' moods brighten up so fast on hearing about their respective "to-be" grandchild-in-law. Ruka acting like an insufferable bitch as always and then forcing a kiss on Kazuya like that, after that, it's just straight-up impossible for me to even consider her as an applicant for Best Girl. |
