@Inter_anime I assume the dub has her actually say exactly that but in Japanese she says "How about feeling my chest/boobs?" just like Fuuko does. The English subs stick to the cookie line though for obvious reasons.
@LotteGiants No you're right, when I was watching this on this on Tubi TV this is what I saw  I found this so funny I texted my friend to check it out. A week latter he texted me back and asked why I was such a pervert. Confused, I clicked on the YouTube video he referenced me to and this is what Ganko said there.  So if I had to guess I think the subtitles were altered in the Tubi TV version. Which is a good thing because the original seems a lot more ecchi and perverted. |

| @Inter_anime I'm watching an old DVD rip of the series and those would be the official subs. I'm assuming the ones in the second picture are (more accurate) fansubs. Outside of 4Kids levels of butchery I don't really mind the way that 90s anime wrote around some of the weirder stuff in anime of the era (like Brock eating "jelly donuts" in the old Pokemon anime) but this kind of stuff is an obvious must to get away from. Nobody needs a joke about a kid letting gross grown ups think about touching their boobs. Even the level of sexualization of Fuuko by/for adults around her is not very good. |
