In season 1 she was barely even a character. She seemed like nothing more than Itsuki's shadow, because there were no distinctions from her whatsoever and was completely irrelevant.

But when her own arc came in 2nd season. Oh, boy. It was arguably the best one out of five and was definitely worth the wait.
There was also mandatory "girl cutting hair for character development" moment.

Just like the first replying user said,I started liking her in S2...and yeah, definitely the best quint after the character development. Miku is 2nd best for me,but Nino was the one who gathered up her courage and confessed first,so yeah I prefer her over the rest 4. More or less Ichika is the only quint you can have any justified reason for disliking.

And Miku isn't bad...but I liked her initially in season 1 when she seemed kinda cold and somewhat competitive about her historical knowledge or something...but in season 2 she was just so needlessly shy sometimes that it was kinda annoying. Although that running hug was a nice scene...but Nino's confession is still better imo.
