| I just finished this series and it left me speechless. It’s not a perfect and flaw-free anime, but I came out of my experience watching this feeling as if I’ve remembered something important about myself, nature, and the meaning of life. At first it reminded me a little of Eva with the edgy/angsty teen tropes, but that wasn’t something that deterred me from this. And I’m so glad it didn’t! I loved all the non-anime moments interlaced with all the animated scenes and the poetry within the dialogue. I’m sooo thankful for whoever it was that recommended this anime in the MAL forums (sorry don’t remember who you are!) If you haven’t seen this and are interested in anime focused on environmental degradation/spirituality I think this would be a good one to check out! |
