| Lettuce is such a sweet person. I think she can make a good friend for Ichigo. Looks like Ichigo also took on a part time job. Ichigo and Mint are once again caught into trouble but this time against Lettuce in her magical form. The episode shows her vulnerable side, and looks like Ichigo want sto help her in any way possible. Glad they managed to bring Lettuce to their side in the end. |

| Ichigo being formally introduced to the Tokyo Mew Mew base of operations, and the weird animal-alien Chimera Anima fusions, with the Mews being one each of 5 genetic animals to save the Earth, pretty typical Mahou Shoujo stuff back in the day. So far there's Ichigo and Mint, and the former is already acting strange with her DNA infused with the Iriomote cat, and getting flustered with Aoyama is the least of her worries with her tail and cat ears appearing when they're worked up. Of course, their side business is still a café, but with the green-haired Lettuce Midorikawa being the next prominent character who's kind, but can be helpless and naïve. Just nice, there's a school pool drowning incident, and this is the perfect chance to activate Lettuce's powers and get it controlled down from her isolation state. She needs friends, and in this case, it's comrades, and I'm glad that they have her on their side as the 3rd of 5 Mew Mew girls. Lettuce is a good inclusion, though the plot itself is also slowly starting to manifest as well. |

| Momomiya’s becoming more cat than girl lol. Seems pretty inconvenient if it happens every time she gets worked up considering how easily she’s flustered haha. I figured Lettuce was the “ghost”. Luckily she was saved by the power of friendship! Lol. That’s 3 girls assembled. There should be 2 more according to the ending credits. I like this series so far. I dig the old school feel and the characters are all very adorable. I also like that each girl has a food name like Ichigo, Lettuce, Mint lol. The transformations are pretty cute too. Plus, cute animal girls in maid outfits? Yeah, I’m pretty much sold. |

| Just watched it now, and I loved it! Mint is back with her personality and the whole Mew Project seems to be more profound and reasonable. Ryou being Ryou, Keiichiro making the girls go crazy, Lettuce being so cute waaa I just love everyone so much. Can't wait for Pudding and Zakuro. AND GIVE US THAT ALIEN THAT'S ALL WE WANT, I'M GONNA SCREAM~~~ "My name is Kisshu, thanks for the kiss." ♥  |

| BTW, "The aliens using animals" so... why did they not "use Humans", Humans are technically also "animals" LOL. Also, gathering info from Cafe was the go-to back when this series was first made, cause Social Network didn't exist yet. Other thing, I thought they know who they "blasted beam" onto, especially with spy camera watching them the entire time from the van... So... why did they just leave the magic girls without telling them they were infused with animal DNA... imagine this happening iRL... where you get randomly injected with a random drug without your consent regardless if it was good or bad for you... If I gained a random power from being beam blasted, I would also go Hulk on everyone. (so Lettuce is not at wrong here, it's the beam-blasters that's in the wrong) ___ ___ ___ In a way, the TokyoMew and the Aliens aren't that different... one infuse animals with enhanced DNA, while another infuse humans with animal DNA... same thing here, LOL. (here's a thought, what happens if you infuse a animal with human DNA?) |

| Alright Ichigo is now used to becoming a Mew Mew, but when time comes that Aoyama goes close to her, those ears and tail came out, yeah that is not a perk of being a Mew Mew. The cafe is here and yep Ichigo is already complaining because Mint doesn't work, something that did happened in the original. Actually this is somewhat a 1 to 1 episode to the 2002's Episode 3 where they met Lettuce and eventually her becoming a Mew Mew, even down to the pool scene. Glad it does because now they have a new Mew Mew on their side, 3 down 2 more to go. And ay Kisshu finally makes his appearance. |

| Quite a good shoujo anime. Mint is so elegant and graceful! I like the idea of saving endangered species. The plot loop reminds me of Sailor Moon and Gegege Kitaro so it's a good combo for me. |
| I am genuinely happy for the remake but if it does not get any better, I won't continue to watch it. I felt excited for the remake but the animation already disappointed me. The story is changed quite a bit and I can accept that. The episode is still fun to watch. Just sad bc I want to see this show with good animation. Can't wait to see Quiche my man |

I remember being a child in 2006 and creating my Ichigo account in Orkut and MSN to play roleplays and stuff lol (it was a thing on internet at that time, including in my country Brazil, even though I didn't knew anyone in real life who liked those things) |

| Not gonna lie, I didn't like this episode very much. Something about the whole thing felt kind of "flat" for lack of a better word- both in the visual and cinematography department. I couldn't help but notice a handful of off-model shots, and the backgrounds are really starting to bother my eyes. There were definitely a lot of moments where the animation looked pretty stiff as well. Even the content of the episode itself felt a little rushed, and I know that's a word a lot of people like to throw out there, but the events just happened way too quickly with little time to soak in any of the emotion. I liked Lettuce's (Still never going to get over that name) arc, but everything just flew by too quickly for me to care as much as I might otherwise. When Ichigo says for the first time she wants to be Lettuce's friend it just comes off as super corny (even by Tokyo Mew Mew standards) because she literally saw her get treated like shit by her friends twice for 5 seconds each time. Really would have benefitted from some more buildup. Also was a little odd how there was no transformation scene for Lettuce, she just kind of... turned into her Mew Mew form. This is a bit of a nitpick but if this adaptation is going to take liberties then I hope it's not just Ichigo whose animal-traits come out in their day to day life. It always stood out to me as strange that it was only her and not, say, Mint's wings appearing. A woman can dream. |
| I really liked the way they did Retasu's introduction as a mew mew! Very dramatic and the three lead voice actors all did really well! There are some minor details that are starting to pop up that I really like. For example, when Minto is using her weapon it evolves into a bow, and when it's not in use it stays in the small form that was used in the original. It's a small detail but I'm a sucker for that sort of thing. I also really like how they don't use the full attack animation everytime they use their weapons, it gives the fighting scenes a more realistic feel and fast pace. With the exception of having Minto be the first Mew Mew they've been sticking really close to the original pace and story, I was hoping they'd make more major changes, but there is still a lot of time so we'll just have to wait and see. Hyping the next episode already~! |

| The "Convincing a person with words to get them to come down" never gets old. Although overused, it's still kinda hits and this wasn't any different. I'm glad Lettuce broke out of that toxic environment, friendship shouldn't be bought with yourself or money. Prioritise yourself and never sell your soul to friends or anyone unless they've given theirs to you. |

| I get the feeling this isn't going to be even close to 52 episodes. Still loving their new looks, especially Mew Mew versions, but sadly Mint's transformation was plain and boring. Ah, can't wait to see and especially hear more of Kisshu. His voice actor is Nobuhiko Okamoto who also voices Katsuki Bakugou. <3 |

| This episode didn't hit as well as the first one for me. Idk, it feels like it's rushing things? Considering this anime's only gonna be one cour according to MAL I wonder how much they're planning on getting through. Mint's new transformation is genuinely awful compared to the original. I kept sitting there waiting for the fluid ballet elements of the original to come out and was shocked when it never happened. Going back and rewatching the original transformation just confirms how lifeless and stiff the new one is... |
| Well sure the alien's hunting will be some hard work for them though we're still in the introduction state and now the green haired shy one is done, at least she'll finally get genuine friends with the mew mew cast, and working at the café as well |

| Didn't like Mint's transformation that much, it's not even close to sakuga Ichigo's transformation scene was. Other than that, even though I was never fan of Lettuce as character, it was quite a sweet lesson about friendship. |

| They are really doing these transformation sequences dirty. The transformations were my favourite part of the original to see them reduced to these low impact scenes is sad. I'm praying they don't mess up Lettuce's cause she was my 2nd favourite. |

| Dang Ichigo and Lettuce kinda had the same hairstyle in the cafe. Thank goodness for the glasses and green hair vs red. But aww, I'm glad Lettuce was able to overcome that and get away from those cruddy friends. But here we go, Kish and co. are coming. Ooo. |
