Is Sword's armor the one Leon created when he combined Zaruba and Jiruba to defeat Mendoza? If so, isn't that a mistake considering he gave Jiruba back to Roberto?

I keep getting the feeling that there's an important part of Garo's story that's not being told.

There is nothing indicating that this is the case.
The design of the Garo armor may just be different in some series for no apparent reason.
This is not the first time that this has happened.
