Gotta help Mikan in any way possible.

Even with a 'plot', this episode was still lighthearted as ever with its usual comedy gags. Nothing too special about this finale but it was fun to see all the cast together helping each other.

Got to see more of magics at work too! Fun finale.

Time to shave some help in saving Mikan's soul from whatever is suppressing her! Also, be careful in handling her this time.

The miasma enveloping the host, and both Shamiko and Momo try their absolute best...at whisking it away with much mana used and negotiating with her familiar Ugallu. Trying to split her from Mikan sounds like a tough task, especially to Momo which thinks of nothing but violence to solve the problem to appease the meat-loving familiar that has been protecting Mikan from her curse. Her soul has all along been within Mikan without a vessel, and to evacuate her would extradite a whole new problem in itself.

Mikan being half-awake from Anri's goading (thanks to Lilith), and the resolution met to summon Ugallu to the real world. Unfortunately in her current state, she's unstable, and a set of requirements to get her to stabilize in the real world: existing things and specifically mana meat for the ritual. That's where Lico and Shirosawa comes in for the cooking and resource expertise, though I love how Shirosawa is tied up for Lico's brazen enjoyment to pluck his tail fur lols. All that's left is to do the ritual and let her be a free soul in the real world, though her supervision is still up to Mikan being part of her family.

Another good season in the books.

Sweet finale, I'm glad they were able to save Ugallu and she has a physical form now.

This was another fun season, hope we get more in the future. Need more Shamiko and Momo.

As much as I loved this season, I can't help but feel like it was a complete waste of time. The main plot line got completely abandoned after they found out that Chiyoda Sakura's core is inside Shamiko and the focus completely shifted towards pointless stuff. Here's hoping we get a third season so they can go back to finding Sakura's real body and getting Shamiko's dad out of that mikan box.

Might be a bad sign that this is the second best anime on my list from this season so far, even narrowly beating Spy X Family which I was absolutely hyped for. But we got more Shamiko and an arguably better season than season 1, so all is good in this world.

doesn't Ugalulu resemble too much with Maid Dragon's Ilulu? the designs are practically the same (except for Ilulu's huge breasts) and even their names are similar

That was a really sweet finale with everyone working together and having all the hard work pay off in the end, Ugallu is a pretty cute new character, the show didn't feel as comfy on the very first episode (they were still really nice ofc) but it felt right at home on the later ones, I hope we get to see more of Shamiko's adventures even if it takes another 3 or so more years again.

Machikado Mazoku was already one of my all-time favorite shows, but this episode has cemented season 2 as possibly as enjoyable as s1 and the show overall as a “10” for me 🥰
Now to start counting the days until the s3 announcement 😁

Not necessarily true, since the only way Shami can reach any of her goals (saving her dad, saving Sakura, breaking the family curse, protecting the town, making Momo happy) is by becoming stronger, and while s1 was all about physical training, this season was more about gaining experience, increasing her magic abilities (including the W.Rod) and solidifying her position as a true Shadow Mistress, by gaining new allies and stabilizing her existing ones, all of which gives her a more advantageous position from which to move towards those goals, hopefully in s3! 😁

Every episode made me smile so much. It's not one of those obvious greats that I'd recommend to everyone, but it's just right for me. Loved how every silly thing Shamiko did came together to help people. That's a real power.

The resolution of dealing with Mikan's curse was more wholesome than I expected it to be. The Ugallu was rather cute and the group, along side some assistance from Anri and Lilith in the real world, helped to formulate a plan to fix the issues of Ugallu's original summoning by getting to summon her in the real world with some help from Lico and Shirosawa.

Lico's facial expression as she was "collecting" fur from Shirosawa was hilarious. XD

Thanks to their help, Ugallu was summoned without any issues, leading to a wholesome conclusion. Everyone is now calling Shamiko "boss" and it definitely suits her, despite her complaints about it. =)

Overall, season 2 was really good fun, offering plenty of comedic moments as well as some solid character development which has helped Shamiko to become stronger as she progress towards for main goals.

8/10 will be my final score and I'll patiently wait for a future S3 announcement if it happens. =3

This finale may not be as full of stunning revelations as episodes 5 and 6 were, but it's a big step for Shamiko: she's now accomplished something Sakura couldn't. When Sakura charged her with taking on her role as the town's protector, just six episodes ago, it'd seemed impossibleーand yet she's actually succeeding. Sure, it's with lots of help from others, and there are many areas where her capabilities are still far from Sakura's, but that's not what matters. And she's slipped into this leadership role so naturally that she never even noticed the people around her starting to regard her as such.

Shamiko has come a long way from where her story began! <3

That was a great season! Wasnt a big fan of the first but this really did everything so well! It was so high energy and random, so much going on at the same time even that it was never boring.

Lico with yandere tendencies, yeah I can see that. Give me that chemical bliss darling.

Now lets hope the third season gets confirmed soon.

Poor Tapir, for being plucked like that after already having excruciating back pain, no catching a break. It was all worth it though, Ugallu is too awesome to disappear.

Anri getting shocked at Ogura's abrupt pop out while everyone's reaction was ordinary, made my day.

This was a fantastic season, as expected. Shamiko getting upgraded to higher boss status made me smile, I'm her underling too.

Sweet finale. In the end, the girls were able to bring Ugallu into the physical world and seeing each character having a role in the resolution of this event was really nice. Poor Tapir-san tho.

Wonderful sequel overall. An improvement from an already solid first season thanks to the more plot-focused episodes and the addition of some really amusing new characters.

This season starts off pretty damn shaky, with the pacing accelerated so much it felt like a Teekyuu imitation.

It quickly calms down though and ends up surprisingly consistent in its entertainment value. Some bits simply don't work of course, but for the most part the characters and their situation is developing quite nicely.

Ugallu is so cute. Another precious airhead demon - I just need to see more of her.

I'm so sad that this season has come to an end. I literally just caught up with this anime today. I had it on hold for some time and I'm glad I returned to it. It's just so funny and relaxing to watch. It's a nice SOL anime with a bunch of interesting characters. I just love watching all of them interact with each other.

Shamiko is such a nice and cute little demon girl - clumsy, an airhead, but she is really trying hard for her friends. Both Momo and Mikan are nice. And what the hell is with Ogura-san. Her appearing randomly through the ceiling or whatever is creepily funny. I really liked Lico's character and her attitude towards Momo. Also, her voice is so nice. Overall this anime has been so much fun with so many entertaining characters, and I'm just so gonna miss it. The 2nd season has been even better than the first one, with the introduction of some deeper plot. We also got to see Sakura

Man am I going to miss this anime. This series remains as my favorite comedy. There is not a single episode from both seasons that doesn't make me laugh at least 3 times, I love this series. Both OPs are great, and the cast is just amazingly talented. All the new characters from this season are just as great as everyone else, there really isn't anything lacking on this anime. I really hope this gets another season, watching this just melts away any stress and makes me feel happy

So yeah, gimme a 3rd season - it already had a 2nd season, so we can hope for the 3rd, right? Though I think I will pick up the manga.

I liked S2 more than S1 as the story of funny rivalry between clumsy little demon and contradictory secretive magical girl evolved into a great unique humorous experience.

Even added this one to my favourites as there were a lot of outbursts of sincere laughing throughout the season which is a rarity for my tastes.

Great adaptation.

Some part were questionable for me as a manga reader(the zombie recap, shamiko giving momo hairpin scene, lico tail not showing her emotion in ep 5-6, not skipping some transformation sequences), but episode 6 was like perfectly done and ep 11-12 was great too.

I will miss this show and I really hope we'll get a 3rd season. The plot has just started to thicken and it would be a shame if we don't get to see the build up pay off.

LOL...

Lico went S&M Psycho on Shirosawa.

"AH LICO~~" *Gachibass*

LOL

___ ___ ___

And looks like I was right...

Boss Shamiko's magic weapon is literal God... it can literally be anything she want.

It doesn't matter if it previously exists or from a game, as long as Shamiko can imagine it, it WILL exist...

...

Which is to say... Shamiko isn't pure Evil is probably for the best... otherwise she'll eventually actually become stronger than the Mahou Shojos and the "Light Clan" and takes over the world.

Tho... maybe the Mahou Shoujos foresaw this and turn Shamiko's dad into a orange cardboard box and bestow mass unfortune on them so that Shamiko can't develop her powers and become a threat.

hmm... wait... orange cardboard box?... Mikan of this season's last arc... I have a feeling this might be connected.... LOL

What if... Shamiko's dad was turn into a box by someone from Mikan's family? Seeing Mikan's family is also part of Mahou Shojos...
(and they already stated Ugallu has immense power due to Mikan's family that we also know has the power to transform things into other things similar to what Shamiko's magic rod can do... so it's not that farfetched that they could probably also transform someone into a box.)

Pretty sweet finale, this.

A lot of the mystery has not been unveiled yet but deciding to end the season with Mikan's demon inside was a good choice and brought at least some sort of closure. Don't think the series really needed one to begin with xD but y'know...

Ugallu was an interesting character, to say the least. Certainly wasn't expecting the Mesopotamian demon or whatever they suspected at first, lol. She seems to really care about Mikan and vice-versa so that's nice. And Boss Yuuko, that has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? Momo thinks so, at least.

All in all, it was a fun season. Given the nature of the show, you can't really anything. Leo and Master's addition to the already entertaining cast kept things lively. Solid 7/10 from my side.

I have finally finished Season 2 of Demon Girl Next Door, after accidentally thinking it was a new show, to starting it back in May and finally coming back to it somewhat recently, I’m really glad I finally finished it lol. And what a Season 2 it was, I definitely liked this one a bit more than the first season, the comedy was hilarious as always if not more so thanks to some of the new characters and developments of the plot, and speaking of the characters I definitely really enjoyed the new ones like Lico and Shirasawa, and the characters we know and love from the first season were excellent as well, it was truly a joy to see Shamiko and Momo develop their relationship more and goof around as always.

The art and animation of this season was splendid as well, I thought it was very pretty, definitely got a lot of nice screenshots lol. And that OP and ED were both very reminiscent of the first season and amazing on their own as well, I also like that they kept a simple art style in the ED like the first season lol. But once again, what a season this was, a great final episode too, love to see Mikan free from her curse and most of the show’s cast helped too, and Ugallu is a nice addition as well, I really hope for a Season 3 to see more of her and all these wonderful characters again! Also Shamiko’s engrish here really got me lol. And I mean really the only negative thing I have about this show is how fast it is sometimes, I caught myself having to rewind and pause a bunch, but the fast hitting comedy is a staple at this point and if it slowed down it wouldn’t feel right lol.

I wish I coulda made it to this within Spring season but I finally made it at least lol, here’s to another season!
