I know the anime and the LN isn’t that great, but talk about profit, the anime boost the sale up quite a lot. I’m pretty sure it’s in top 10 in one of the month(don’t remember correctly)so I definitely expect a new season.
But judging from Doga Kobo’s history, it’s unlikely. Most of their anime don’t have a second season so don’t expect much.

No thank you because this is one of the worst anime I’ve ever seen but I know if season 2 ever came out I would still be tempted to check it out. Though I am glad you were able to find enjoyment in it.

these were the type of the anime that just got only one season and then don't make the second season of it/sequel These are to make the anime watchers buy the light novels/manga. There are also similar anime like this that have the same scenario such as domekano, hensuki, etc

The first 5 episode was Good but Other episode is just a waste and rating is low so maybe it's impossible

Well, Doga Kobo did a continuation of Himouto Umaru-chan so them not doing S2s might not be entirely true. If anything, I think they're just swamped with so many commitments. They're currently working on Shikimori is Not Just a Cutie and have Oshi no Ko and Pastor Lawrence and Saint Cecilia as future projects.

There may be enough material but this anime wasn't received well when it aired. It's been a while, maybe I'll give it another watch and see if my opinion on it has changed.

I know it wasn't well received by MAL but what about the Japanese reaction? As far as I know, the Japanese really don't listen that much to foreign reactions when deciding which anime to adapt. Also, there are plenty of anime that were received horribly but still got continuations.

Yes, they did make OVAs for Himouto but they also made a season 2. It was called Himouto Umaru-Chan R! and it was released 2 years after the first season of Himouto.

As for unlikely, yeah it is unlikely. Kinda like how certain anime getting another season was unlikely (Devil is a Part timer, Spice and Wolf, etc.) and yet they still got another season. Hunter x Hunter returning was also unlikely, yet Togashi it seems is finally releasing more chapters. Berserk continuing was also unlikely with Miura's death but recent news begged to differ.

Smartphone isekai got a second season so yes. This will definitely get a 2nd season years down the line once no one knows about this anime
