i have been wondering about it since episode 6 and the fact that they changed the ending song and visual for 3 times. i mean, they were spending money just only for the ending song and visual....basically soundtrack. i mean......it's just wasting money unless if it's popular in japan and the fanbase wanted it too. so i kinda wonder, is this anime popular in japan or not.

Why does it matter? Not every anime needs to be popular in Japan bruh.

damn, that was 2016 brow
i'm a different man now hahaha

but to follow up, i was wrong. the source material needs to be popular IN JAPAN to be able to get an anime. Date a live is an example. The adaptation ain't that good, nor the visual either. S4 is way better tho but it's still below what I expected since they changed the studio. so even if we all, outside japan, don't like the product, they ain't gonna care about us. which is sad to be honest for me. that is the first factor

the second one is, it's irrelevant either it's popular or not, the publisher, studio, whoever they are, want to promote the original source and never touch the anime ever again LIKE NO GAME NO LIFE, or invest it till the end.

for HUNDRED, i really have no idea what the hell happened to it afterwards. They just want to promote the original source probably.
correct me if i'm wrong.

Thanks for following up, something I’ve always wondered as well.
