| The core of the story is Drama. The Romance aspect is complicated until Vol 4 (Which is were the anime stopped), after that is pretty straightforward. The Drama (And somewhat Psychological genre) persists throughout the whole story though. Regarding Shiori (Purple hair girl), yes, she does get annoying in her arc but it’s still necessary for plot and character development so is not annoying enough to affect your viewing experience. |

I liked the concept of the show but felt it was executed horribly, does the novel series do a better job? |
