I need to rewatch Ikkitousen to check Ryomou W/L percentage, after seeing how this episode began.

Was a waste of character, to kill both Tamonmaru and Ganryuu in just 3 episodes.

Now I wonder if will have a continuation.

It was all right. Can't do much with just 3 episodes. 6/10

Damn, i'm sad now that it's over, wish there were more episodes. 3 is just too little.

The beloved jobber was back, it would have been nice to get 10 or so episodes but what can you do.

Solid but not enough titties and ass down the stretch. Most I can give it is a 7/10.

Well that was underwhelming. It’s like we saw a snap shot of the middle of some larger plot.

No prequel or sequel to take measure from. Hmmm.

This would've been better if it was more than 3 episodes. Oh well, hopefully not another 3 year wait for a sequel this time.

Now if they could just work on Queen's Blade as well...

I feel like this coming out a year and half later doesn't really make sense in that case. If the series was truly dead, this just wouldn't have been released.

It is still very puzzling why this does exist at all. Feels very unfinished. They basically only had fights against skeletons this "season".

Gotta love when the supposed new main character spends two-thirds of a show unconscious and off-screen. Waste of an hour and a half, if I'm honest.

That's not strictly correct. Arms as an independent company declared bankruptcy, and their assets were absorbed by another. However, the brand and trademark of Arms still exists and is used for productions such as these, which are more in line with their pre-merger work.
Well I for one already loved Lain.

Yea lets sacrifice both of the new girls for seemingly no reason against enemies they probably should have been able to beat and then just seal the passage anyway. Great idea!
Anyway it was nice seeing Ryomou again but really nothing groundbreaking here. I do wish this manga got a more proper adaptation but I guess we're back to waiting another 4 years for the next 3 episodes.

When last we saw the lead from the previous episode, she had just fallen into a ravine.

So we're just gonna leave her there? 'kay. AFAIK, the lead from the *first* episode is still lying comatose in a shrine somewhere.

There are much more coherent ways to get your naked anime tiddies. 4/10.

I've seen 2 sources now call this a direct follow-up or reboot to Ikki Tousen. It's clearly a follow-up to Western Wolves.

You know, ecchi animes like this sadly turned out to be rarity nowadays. There is the 'plot' and the plot , and these 3 OVAs were overall a step up regarding the latter, at least caught more my attention due to the more serious tone and how they are building up the development of the characters.
I would say the only downside for me -if I can put it like that- is that the conflicts some times seems kinda of random and confusing.

Anyway, solid good OVAs of Ikkitousen. Naturally and gladly, best art and animation of the franchise so far.

The cliffhanger here is big and it would make me sad if we do not get a sequel.

The franchise overall has been a rollercoaster with its up and down for me. There are some seasons I rated low but I can´t really remember those. Maybe a rewatch would be nice and who knows the score might change....

These 3 OVAs would rate 7.5/10 if possible.

Third episode seems the begining the some more dangerous and destructive!!!

The episode ends very hastily and in a somewhat sterile way, also without explaining some points / characters that have been left halfway.

Anyway, interesting, but insufficient!!! kekeke

So I guess this was Arms' goodbye show, huh? Not the greatest goodbye, but I guess that was to be expected from a bankrupt studio
Thanks for giving me Hyakka Ryouran though, that was a really good show.
