| Ahh, okay this chapter was crazy! So the party and, by extension, Rei's grandmother were about as overbearing as expected. I find it sort of odd that his grandmother would get so worked up over her grandson's high school girlfriend that he's been going out with for like maybe a couple days? I get that he comes from an affluent family and all that, but like why be so dramatic about it? If they were the type of family to want to control his social life so much, why not just homeschool him from the beginning? I guess the author needed to inject some drama to build tension for the next volume and all that, but it just seemed a bit contrived. |
