Not quite high yet,, hope the series gets a permanent 8 with the Elf War arc. And honestly, i feel floor 5 is the best from the first 5 volumes.

But it's an amazing adaptation nicely stirred with an original backstory, I can say it's a solid 8/10 no less.

It is ep 1 and 2, but No Klein,more content (from both LN and Manga, which are pretty different) and extra original content,
Moreover did you know, the boss fight was never in the original SAO LNs, it was adapted from the first volume of SAO PROGRESSIVE, means Reki started writing SAOP even before the og SAO anime was released.

I watched it 5-6 months ago so I might not remember everything exactly but I do know that it’s from Asuna’s perspective. I’m not sure if you’d call it “better,” but it’s definitely got improved pacing. There are more progressive movies coming out still so I can’t really say how the rest will go, but right now I’d say it’s on par or slightly better than the original. If you wanna see a different perspective, give it a watch.
