| Too bad for Entua that her father wasn't named "Gandalf". The "you shall not pass" line worked out better for him. I also don't think the emperor is oblivous to the stuff his generals do. He recruited them personally, he gave orders like "destroy anyone in your way" or "kill them all", and he certainly will get reports from (so far) more reasonable people like Munechika or Oshuturo. -- Now, i'm also watching GATE right now, where the enemies (so far) do not quite have this level of strength. I wonder how the setting of GATE would work out with Yamato or Tsukuru being on the other side instead of the "Empire". Ultimately, the JSDF would probably still win because the generals etc. can't be everywhere, and even they'll have trouble with things like snipers, miniguns, landmines, missiles. A shield will of course work fine (unless it's actually overpowered, but seeing how the Kamunagi had no trouble blocking Virai, i don't think straight out overpowering is feasable), but they have to have it in place in time. And if they get attacked when they don't wear their masks they are "mostly" harmless. |
| So I guess sealing of previous Hakuoro was useless when there are 8 other generals with OP powers masks. Still, MC here is more like observer and less like main hero as he basically achieved nothing so far. The episode was better but I really don't know how anyone could stand against such immense power (those were powers of mass destruction they really bit overdid it here). I really can't see them switching sides and standing against Yamato even when that is most likely gonna happen. Are we supposed to feel pity for attackers here? |
