| That's the problem, the other stuff are cultural, this is not. All those things are 1 episode OVA compared to this which will be a full cour anime. The schedule is much tighter for a TV anime than an OVA making it much difficult to make. The studio has mostly done sub-contracting work for other studios. | The fact that this thread - as mundane as it is - was more entertaining to read than it was to watch ep 1 of this anime basically tells you all you need to know... I recently complained about how 'whatever' most of the currently starting shows are - maybe with exception of Spy x Family (we will see, but it is up to a good start) - but THIS one is pretty much the only sub-par show this season I've seen so far. And I could even get over the cheap art if they would at least be capable of getting at least SOME comedic timing right. I don't even want to imagine where this show will get from here after the; "Hey look, an (verbally AND physically) abusive and egoistical healer character like the MMORPG-stereotype!" lost its charm (spoiler; after the first skit) I really don't like being 'that guy' - but it honestly hit me by surprise how bad this first episode turned out. |

| The opening visual is absolutely definitely obviously the best we have ever got this entire year. Like it has the most literal spoiler out of any opening visual I've ever seen. lmao As expected of former(?) slightly cultured studio Edit: I've seen the episode title. It's very damn LONG. Reminded me of Kaijin Kaihatsu-bu from previous season. Maybe someone could compare them to see which one has the longer title. lol |

If this anime was the current state of japanese animation I guess that would just be fitting though. Not that it is even worth 'speed-watching' imho - but at least I get the idea... |
