why do I know of the title?

I've literally never read a single word of this manga yet for some reason as soon as I read the name I knew exactly what this was. Why is that, did The Anime Man talk about this in a monthly Otaku Collection or something?

This is a spin-off of an ongoing series it had like 6 seasons and now we got this one

If you watch the Anime Man, Gigguk, or Trash Taste they brought up Ikkitousen when they were talking about bad ecchi harem shows

It is indicated in the Information part that the studio is Arms. Does this mean that Arms studio is back? They filed bankruptcy in 2020 and out of business for more than 1 year already.

It’s funny because I watched the original Ikkitousen from 2003 in the beginning of the year or so. One of the promo poster had the girls with dummy thicc thighs, which was caught my attention and made me watch it. I was ok, but I wasn’t going to look into any of the other stuff that came after.

I might stick around to see how much things changed, and if the proportions are better than the one I watched.

EDIT: Roumou Shimei was probably the best thing about the show. Thicc and wasn’t afraid to grapple with her legs.

So this was based of the sequel manga to the original Ikkitousen. Then this should therefore be categorized as a sequel to the anime series as well, even if linked to the final OVA...but whom knows how anime companies do things these days lol

It was kinda a famous ecchi anime way back in the day when there weren't really that many ecchi anime out there. Most well known for the girl's clothes conveniently tearing pretty much during every fight. Definitely possible you've heard it mentioned at some point during anime discussion or whatever.
