Your expectations for the second season

So its finally official.
The second season of Kyoukai Senki will be released in spring 2022.

What are your overall expectations for this season in case of the story, the pacing and the themes?

Honestly, the first season was pretty mediocre with the exception of a few parts (especially the last two episodes being great), and they really lack depth for the characters and overall story. I expected a bit more from Sunrise, but I'm hopeful that the 2nd half will have more interesting developments.

What aspects of the last two episodes makes you like them?

I thought that the some episodes of the middle part done a good job.

The last two episodes seemed very flat and boring to me.

Honestly, coming off from Sunrise, all I know is that they'll try as many way to capitalize on all the Gunpla merch, and Kyoukai Senki is nothing more than just another one of Sunrise's ways to market more Gunpla for the hardcore fans.

A really poor 1st half there, but I kinda knew that this series would not make it for a 1-cour. Feels too abrupt to stop it there.

The overall theme of "Kyoukai Senki" is still interesting, especially the factions and their characteristic, but I could imagine that they will focus on the characters.

Especially if they capitalize on Gunpla merch.

In my opinion, what I saw in the first season was a generic anime, its characters are generic characters (the main guy, the edgy guy and the girl who is a girl and acts as a girl)

I was expecting at least a good pair of fights to save the first part, but even the fights are very simple fights

And all its universe, its politic system etc are boring and a bit disappointing

I wont continue it

I cannot deny this. It already started a bit usual and the main casts were the only one to have a real backstory. Even their backstory was too usual.

But I hope that the second season will go deeper regarding the political system and focus on more interesting characters.

I enjoyed it, it had some pacing problems but overall 7/10. So I’m hoping season 2 has better pacing and a little more romantic and character development perhaps.

Zero expectations. The first part is so terrible there is nothing this second part can do to salvage it. It will most likely be a continuation of all the problems it's had. I listened to the soundtrack today and it's so bad I didn't like a single song. Despite all this I'll be watching it.

I cannot even remember the soundtrack of the first part. The opening does not sound that good.

The trailer looks incredible uninteresting, since it looks and feels as if nothing was changed.
Besides the battle-scenes, most of the second part could be boring.

It will definitely turn out that Amou is still alive in a "twist". Killing off the MC permanently after the first 13 episodes is an actual unique idea, there is no way they would do something even vaguely interesting in this show.
