In terms of story and quality, how does Tokyo 24 compare to WEP, another Clover Works original?

I've never watched WEP nor do I plan to watch it due to a ton folks being disappointed by it. However, I want to know if you people think Tokyo 24 is an improvement over it or not, and if you believe that CW had learned from their WEP mistakes.

About animation, Tokyo 24 is a big downgrade, still is pretty good.

About story, they are pretty different, but remember that WEP falled around ep 10-11.

I think many people are blinded by the horrible ending of WEP. The first 10 episodes and the whole theme in general of the anime wouldve easily been an 9/10 and arguably one of the best originals ever created, not only in terms of story but also cast and animation. They unfortunately ruined all of that with 1 episode and 1 special (if you can even call that shitshow a "special").

So in general WEP is imo way way better than Tokyo 24

Wep just had a better concept and better execution than this anime. The last two episodes of WEP though showed us a lot of stuff and rushed to the ending. Those two episodes should’ve been 10 episodes.

I honestly thought that the 12th episode, while not as good as some previous episodes, wasn't that bad. It got a lot of shit since people thought that was going to be the final episode. I personally really liked all the episodes of the TV run. I haven't seen the special episode yet since I haven't heard a single person defending it and don't want to ruin the previous episodes because of it. I do hope people can look past the ending though. Just because it faltered at the ending doesn't mean that it's automatically a 1/10.

you can't compare the content of the shows, but for originals they are both entertaining in my opinion. you can still just watch Wonder Egg Priority it's just fun though. The special is not necessary

Wonder Egg had the better animation and more compelling story. Heck if it didn't fall off so much towards the end, it could've been excellent.

Tokyo 24th Ward on the other hand, while I wouldn't necessarily call it "BAD", it's just really bland despite all its flashing colours, and I don't care much for any of it. I'm just watching to see if it can somehow succeed by the end whereas Wonder Egg couldn't.

Tokyo 24-ku is probably the worst show I've seen in Winter 2022. WEP is bad, but at least I found it pretty enjoyable. Tokyo 24-ku was basically a mistake since eps. 5, and I'm only going to finish it because I'm already almost done.

I haven’t seen this, but from what I’ve seen the score maxed out at a 7.2, WEP on the other hand may have a lower score now but before the last episode it had an 8.5, so that should tell you how much better it is.

To me WEP is better but only marginally story-wise excluding the travesty that was the special episode. I always thought it was overrated. The only thing it is significantly better was the animation. The one thing I can say for sure that Tokyo 24-ku was better at was the Opening and Ending theme but that’s subjective.

WEP, Akudama, Tokyo 24 all these recent anime originals had poor execution, especially in the latter halves / endings.

I don't understand why these anime originals with elaborate, serious, large-cast stories try to force a complete ending within 1 cour. It always ends up being disappointing, rushed, or both. As much as I love Vivy, the last arc also kinda pushes it into this list.

Also WEP and Tokyo 24 don't share director, script storyboard writers, or episode directors so not much to say if they 'learned from their mistakes'.

It’s honestly the last episode and the special because it was supposed to finish off the e story with a bang but failed to do so. I absolutely love every other episode.
