So rather than the cliché Red Thread of Fate, 4 girls decide to go afer the Red Balloon of Fate. This is reflected in the OP as well with the 4 girls having majority vocals.

This is the 3rd group of the 4 X 4-girl team, featuring Miharu Yomine, Mahoro Miyaji, Aya Kamuro and Riko Hinakura. Their featured talent: Seiyuus being radio DJs in their own program title "Ride the Headwind" and dance idols in one.

The radio chatter drama which went from Aya picking up a stray cat (the similar way that Koharu brought up the turtle Kamei), the only difference is that the cat has an owner instead of being abandoned, to naming it Mii-chan without any thought and concern.

In this group, Mahoro feels like she's already well-suited for the VA role, while Aya (and even her VA) sadly is the worst of the bunch that does not feel like she's part of the entire character cast at all. The new VA syndrome is really strong with this one.

A very touching and entertaining episode. Easily one of my favorites so far.

That balloon scene in the beginning was fun.

The girls did a good job with their radio program.

That cat part was really emotional. Poor Aya. She really liked Mii-chan. <3

Aww, Mii-chan probably noticed Aya. ^^

What was that fateful balloon??!! lol 🤣
Time for the third team, Team Wind. The seiyuu doing radio broadcasting reminded me of Love Live! Series' All Night Nippon GOLD radio program.
The cat part was very sad though, but it was also impressive.

Eh episode! Kamuro really got attached to that cat Mii-chan. Her and her group started up a talkshow and not much happened this episode to progress the plot.

Looking forward to the next episode!

- How bad and cheesy we want this episode to be?
- Yes.

I mean it starts with 'balloon of fate' nonsense.
Then we have cheesy 'cat sob story' (e.g. _how_ cat was left alone in a rain was never explained because consistency was never an option).
And Aya's seiyu is the weakest of the bunch. No, it is not about character. It is about acting.

BY far the worst episode, horrendous story and script to go along with it. Who the hell wrote this garbage?

A new variation of the OP, the first few visuals changed as well

The 3rd group forms, with Miharu Yomine, Aya Kamuro, Mahoro Miyaji and Riko Hinakura but not a solid entry

Their radio show was nice, but it could've been a little more emotional with the whole Mii-chan plot. Aya's character seems to be the weakest so far too...

Good episode featuring this time radio programs which is very popular and successful in Japan.

And of course we got some screen time of our next batch of girls.

I really enjoyed this one.

Yeah the op visual slightly changed to fit into the next group, which for whatever reason its started out with balloon connected them all. Balloon of fate. As ridiculous as its sounds, that's what they use today to describe all the beginning day xd.

So, they both will act as a broadcaster in a web radio program first before doin an actual voice acting job. First interaction within them happened and retold as the material of the talks they've been held on their first recording. Another pet issue. Seriously, before there's girl with turtle. Now its cat. How long its been repeating? I am not surprise anymore if the last group also want to take care some pet or something....

But anyway, not much i can write about their talks and how the cat backstory happened. Because its honestly less interesting than i expect. Drama with the pet for the second time actually not the best idea out of everything. Especially with how weak the girls dynamic and interaction on these episode, everything just straightly shallow. The only thing that i can get attached there is how Mahoro changed the tone of the voice adjusting each different situations.

Hopefully there's something more engaging next episode....

Oh wow I didn't expect them to adapt the radio livestream in a literal sense.
The take on the episode not only eliminates the weakness of the Wind team cast from the game, it actually made them looks better than the other two so far, which actually is pretty impressive.
Flower (the first team) works on pairing. (tho so far the other 3 girls are kinda treated unfairly, as the anime decides to focus heavily on Haruna. Like how the game was at the start.)
Bird (the second team) works on individuality of many different kinds coming together bcs they have their own respective ambitions, and the story is often centered around the main girl Yuuki. (Yuuki pushes a lot of the story of herself and the relationship part of Bird. This frees the other casts to be themselves, and frees the mind of their fans to make any pairing they want lol)
Wind (this team) at the game is kinda a mix of 1 and 2 (or so did the impression I had), but the lack of loud, proactive bokke from most of the cast made them look weak in the story-arcs in the game. Rikko is the only one seemingly active there, and she's not exactly a clown. (she's more of a straight man, actually.)
This episode, tho, eliminates that weakness, and tries to build Wind to the way they were prob meant to be originally: as a team.
(or maybe, more precisely: they use Aya's weakness as a main character to bring on the rest of the cast, thus making them more look more jelled.)

It's complete with the tropey touches of the girls chasing a red balloon that's been blown by the "wind", which was an excellent touch, in this case.
Unlike Bird or Flower, the girls don't necessarily have a specific reason to be here. But they have a purpose to be here. Life has purpose for them to be here. That... adds this novel feeling that it's right for them to be here, and it is right for them to be together.

It's not exactly a masterpiece, but it is without a doubt the best episode from Cue!, so far, for me.
This episode is very reminiscence of IM@S and IM@S CG, or with LL! Muse S2. Basically: the hey-days of the idol genre in anime.

Mod Edit: Removed baiting.

This episode focuses on another set of girls and these girls have started a web radio program. This was quite nice, they did commentary and told events to the audience listening via radio and to us.

Pretty wholesome and fun episode overall.

I can understand how letting go of a cat feels even though I've never really owned a cat but everyday I long for a cat but pets aren't allowed at my home lol. I'm single af but not even seeing couples together hurts me as much as seeing a cat owner cuddling their cat, that fucking hurts. Send cats pls.

Anyway, 5/5 episode. Looking forward to next one.

Easily, the weakest episode alongside Airi's one. The "red balloon of fate" analogy was cheesy af, Aya wanting to quit her career for a damn cat was plain stupid and Mahoro constantly faking the "genki girl" persona with others is slightly concerning, ngl.

Ok, that pushed it into On Hold territory. Miserable attempt at a non-linear episode, the whole balloon thing was just stupid, and all things considered, this batch of the cast are just boring in comparison to the Bloom Ball and Vogel girls.
Well I for one already loved Lain.

The radio format is a good idea to be honest, that was fun to see it like that, though they really were expecting to keep the cat? I mean this one cost like 1500$ xD
