Not much action this episode but it affirms their ward still needs to be protected.

Hopefully Shuuta and his allies can build on a hopeful future. I mean, he at least has the ambition to in the present timeline.

The tornado situation of which the dead Asumi have thrusted the Trolley problem onto the RGB men of the 24th Ward, yet an unknown culprit like Carneades is already assuming that he's behind those dilemmas. Just what's truly going on?

Eevryone is doing their own work: Koki working hard at cracking police cases in SARG, Ran's DoRed artist group is doing their own investigative work, and Shuta having to contend with Kozue after her dad lost his life to the tornado.

This Drug D which rocked Shantytown is like marijuana in terms of effects, and Ran's graffiti is like a blessing and a curse needed to shake up government reformation, the first to change the world. The SuperKaba is a work of art, and Kozue is the last link in Shuta's line to protect.

Carneades is back again with the Trolley problem, and RGB is back in action, treading the line more carefully with Asumi's call and the Vision that presents them their problem and solutions. The case of a VIP ship, and every Trolley dilemma gets even more complex, now involving one of Ran's closest friends, Kunai as the terrorist in this case.

The main question of this anime is not a (flawed) trolley problem, but (which is also flawed) privacy vs. security.

Man like this was kinda good ep, but I just can't feel Red's talk since he just trashes someone that has withdrawal syndrome like it is obvious thing to do and then proceeds to talk about how it is prejudice that makes the people bad etc. Like I have no problem with that philosophical part it's just he shits into his open mouth. Also now that I think of it why was there a scene where they crash into someone's house? To show us that people on drugs are bad? That drugs are bad? Man that is just so stupid. But apart from that pat I did enjoy the episode, it wasn't anything mind-blowing and quite predictable at times but still solid ep.

Great episode! Drug D seems like a pretty big addictive substance. Kozue really likes 'Red's' art.

Looking forward to the next episode!

The cliffhanger was great. Kunai's the target this time so it's either the lives of the VIPs or his friend..

Was planning to drop this, but, Red's art is pretty sick and having Survive Said The Prophet for your opening is quite the win. Besides, Clover Works is no less than nailing it with their TWO other adaptions this season, so idk, I kind of just want to also include this anime original project as well.

However, speaking of an anime original, this is giving me Wonder Egg vibes, and not in exactly a good way. Wonder Egg was Clover Works last original project, and while it was super promising, we all know it didn't really end well. Both that and Tokyo 24th Ward are both semi-episodic style stories, they both look really good visually, and at least appear to be competently and maybe even complexly written. Fingers crossed that it at least somewhat pulls through.

This next dilemma is going to be interesting though. It's obviously going to cause a rift of Red vs. Blue and Green (sorry I'm shit at remembering names, colors is so much easier), but what what will be interesting to see is if Red will agree to kill his friend, or will end up fighting Blue and Green to protect his friend. Maybe the cruise ship is full of rich scum bags which will make the choice harder for them all; maybe Red's friend actually has a justifiable reason for causing a mini-genocide.

If either Red agrees to kill his friend, or if they just find a way to stop the bomb without killing him, ehhhh, ok I guess, happy ending, sure. But what I think will make it far more interesting if Red does NOT relent at all in protecting his friend, causing a rift between their friendship that will remain until the end at least. Whatever it is, I'm curious to find out what they do. I've watched 4 episodes of this, I'm mildly intrigued, I've dropped the consideration of dropping this. Might as well finish it to the end.

I'm sorry but this is me being very petty and nit-picky, but I just find any scene with the 3 of them discussing how to save the day is kind of cringe. The camera is virtually slowly spinning around them while they discuss serious things, much wow. And then oh man they get another call from ASUMI, they hear their phones ring at the same time, and they all look at each other and smile. Oh yeah baby, we know who it is, it's Asumi and we're gonna save the day. Then they all pick up their phones, oh man it's so awesome I'm gonna become wet. GO GO POWER RANGERS LOOOOL ok I'm sorry I'lll stop now

Ran is motherf**king based again this week. I think his character design is somewhat inspired by communist flags (red + yellow color scheme, star-shaped hair). His diatribe about the prejudice in crime data rings especially true for minorities. Although he needs better methods for rallying the proletariat if he wants to go against SARG.

Overall, I think Pyscho-Pass is a vastly superior show, but at least you don't have to sympathize with a bunch of cops in this show.

Edit: Also, hate to break to you guys, but if we are going off of real life, then there is a 50% chance that DRUG D is being manufactured, funded, or at the very least distributed by the government. The amount of allegations for the CIA being involved in drug trafficking is insane.

But the lame conclusion is probably going to be that the crime ring establishing the casino in Shantytown is probably distributing the drugs in order to A) get more support for redevelopment efforts, or B) have an excuse to imprison drug offenders for jail labor.
There's probably some collusion between the casino developers and government. It would be lame if the show casts all of the blame on the Casino people though.

Actually really liked this episode, after the last one I thought this show wasn't going anywhere.
But this episode was more slow and laid back and overall did a great job showing the interaction between the characters, how they handled the tragedy from the tornado and a good set-up for what's to come.

This episode might have resurged my interest in the show.

After listening to SSTP Full Op: "Paper Sky" I was in full heaven and this is my OP for the season. Anyways about the Hazard Tornado case, RIP the quarter of humanity having to live life short :( The memorial service was set up and Kozue looked depressed too but her wandering around the festival was quite an idiot of her, she should just follow her father who had convinced her to come for numerous times. Carneades was introduced and he is the one to decide the future and he may be spitting gags but rumors may say it's true that the hacker causes the tornado + maybe he's the one who is manipulating Asumi into some AI and that's why she's calling the RGB out of all people to do these dilemmas that could help save others but a quarter of them would sacrifice their own life and died as a result. Idk that's just me because it's quite predictable if Carneades is the one alpha but it isn't only himself right, yeah that'd be cool if there is a dominant group who is behind this. What in the fucking- vaping? That guy must be drunk and sober, Ran looks badass though when he broke the window with his skateboard. Drug D is something that has been a mysterious issue and it's addictive plus it's mentioned by both Ran and Kouki, this must be some world case wooh the mystery is getting interesting to find who is the culprit after all. Shuuta and Mari saw Kozue walking all alone and Shuuta, Kozue is acting like everyone is some stranger and why isn't Shuuta trying to stop her not in a sexual assault way instead of telling her to stop verbally. Well to be fair it's either the case is fucked or Kozue is too stupid to leave her father behind with others. While Shuuta was trying to confront Kozue, he encountered a drug dealer stranger and Kouki managed to pin the drug dealer to the ground. The Drug D is indeed mysterious, it's one of the kinds that's unusual to other different drugs, thus, the crime rates in Shantytown have been skyrocketing :(.

Now both of them are looking for Kozue who literally has an unknown objective to wander around in Shantytown. Who will take the privilege to reinforce the town becoming a lively environment where no more cases are on exposure :o that's some question and answer might be known later on. The unknown jacket guy appeared to Kozue while she's wanting to see the piece of artwork that Ran made. Turns out Ran and that unknown jacket girl aka Kunai are both friends :o or an absolute traitor! Kozue must have been looking at her media too much she made it to the destination itself she's absolutely defenseless if she keeps wandering out of the blue. Ran is a genius artist, I aspire to be like him if I have the ability to do graffiti in a form of a colorful design, and he's so passionate about it it's a huge charm especially when he wants to change the world through art. I'm still missing Kaba, the absolute giga chad and our hero has deceased from the tornado case :(. Shuuta found Kozue appeared in Ran's artwork, nice he founded her lol, both were talking about his artwork and Kozue definitely adores his work but she should at least lessen her wandering around moment, glad she trust Shuuta to protect her, that's good to know. Oh boy not another turn of event, when will this ever stop Carneades, you've been taking over the world and even other people's own technology! RGB you better work together to get rid of this culprit and the call from Asumi is another dilemma about a Luxury Ship in Tokyo Bay going to remote-control bomb by some terrorist, just when is this is another turn of event going to stop, it's bringing a lot of tragedy smh?! Oh fuck I actually knew it, Kunai is a traitor after all, especially when being apart of this terrorist segment, he is jealous of Ran because he is an artist and Kunai himself is talentless, he's just easy to read man. Overall good episode though but I need to get more information about Carneades whenever he has a screen time because he's definitely up to something with the "Choose your future. Choose your destiny."

Pretty good episode! Honestly like how slow the show is taking things. Well, as long as they don't suddenly go into overdrive at the end. Poor Kozue though, but she's gonna be fine. Well, as long as someone close to her doesn't die again.

Good setup for the next trolley problem, but I wonder how they're gonna deal with Kunai.

Also, so far the production quality is pretty consistent so far, more or less.

Since there is nothing much going in the ep I think of this ep like a prelude for the terrorist attack and this time it's by a member of Red crew... Ohhh suspense

I thought they depicted it as a drug that makes you violent (very different than marijuana). The pushers want the violence to spread so they have an excuse to take over the Shantytown with government oversight and ultimately the ability to rebuild the Shantytown (the casino, etc.).

I feel like this anime is slowly getting better which is a good thing if you ask me. The art moments had me a little chocked up. That final piece of art work was awesome. Still RIP to Kaba

Welp next week should cause a rift between the boys again. Interested to see what happens.

Wow almost though some random guy (drug dealer) committed suicide in front of Shuta there.

The previous 'trolley dilemmas' were kinda meh in my opinion but the next one involving Kunai seems interesting.
