This series is really over-hated

I feel like people really over-hate this series. Personally, I really enjoyed it and quite liked the fast pace between matches every 2 or so episodes

What do people think of this series looking back at it a couple years later?

At the time I really loved Orion, to be fair anything was better than Ares
But in retrospect Orion was really rushed even though Hino promised us 100 episodes in total
Its a shame, this season really had potential
I still like it
But stuff like the half fubuki traitor plotline and the final match.. didnt do the season any favors

Ah yes the final match was a big disappointment, completely forgot about it when looking back.

The animation sucked. A lot of poorly drawn characters and static frames even in ball plays. The original Inazuma Eleven series was way better.

Well I don’t think there was a single inazuma eleven season that I disliked - mainly cos I started it when I was a child and watched it cos I loved football. Because of this I looked past many of the faults from Orion as if they weren’t there and just enjoyed it like I did when I was a child. Only really payed attention to the characters, hissatsu shoots, and how matches turned out - and this enabled me to enjoy it and look past the flaws. My only problem was that if I remember correctly, the other characters didn’t get anywhere near enough screen time and they all just seemed like tools for the new characters and didn’t really feel like they had much personality to them.

Yeah I agree.
I love Ares and its my favorite Inazuma Eleven arc (Don't care if everyone hates it) but Orion...
Orion was just pretty bad.
At first it was neat even with the animation being terrible,
but the second half when they move to the world championship is when it really dies in terms of plot and animation.
Could've been god tier but was super rushed... It's really too bad.

I really want to find the bluray for Orion though, cuz it might fix it immensely
