Is this a legitimately good show?

For a year now, I’ve seen this anime often. Is the anime itself actually good and worth a watch or did it just gain popularity due to Rimuru’s strength? Are there fights and if so are they good?

imo everything about this show is amazing from the fight scenes to the sound effect to the plot. it is a 10/10 for me def recommend

Well after seeing your list, I can say that there is a good chance that you will love it.
Season 1 is good and season 2 part 1 is best.
Season 2 part 2 is dull.

As an isekai it's pretty decent and one of the better isekais but as an anime overall I'm not a huge fan of it.

If you like worldbuilding (and city building) it is a really decent anime. Some of the fights are really good, especially on the second season. Season 2 part 1 is by far my favorite, and it also includes what I think are the two best fight scenes of the anime. I think you should give it a shot. If you watch it and like it, there is also Tensura Nikki, which is a slice of life that takes place on the end of season 1, and is very wholesome

idk your anime tastes.
But I felt like, this anime was meant for me when I watched it.
I'm a die hard fan of Tensura and follow all forms of media(anime, manga, ln).
So my opinion is watch till ep 12 of season 1. if you like it, good for you. else its a pity you didnt like it.

the beginning was amazing as it focuses more on building a civilization but on later episodes the focus is more on fights and less on civilization building...and fights aren’t cool coz rimuru is just op

I believe that the show is preety good. I like character in show, story. It's a good isekai.

I agree 💯. They made a full episodes discussing about their plan in S2 part, and the pacing was a bit rough.

I would say it's better than most isekai. The mc is typical op type of char. But the thing I like about this show is the part where he try to create his own kingdom of monster,which make him got involed in this politics thing with other race such as human,dwarf and elf. There's a little war,discussion between the ruler of other country,and the recent s2 part 2,when he comes to talk with other demon lord is pretty cool,except there's a lot of talking in the beginning,which is a bit boring. It could be pretty boring if you can't cath up with what the're duscussing about,but if you don't mind,why don't give it a try? It could be a good time killing too. For me,the show is around 7-8.

They talk way too much nonsense. I began to ignore the talking scenes and still understood the entire 1st grade lvl plot. Imo it is not good

The story is great, but I feel like the execution was rather poor. The animation is really nothing to write home about. If you’re used to shows like Re:Zero, Overlord and Mushoku Tensei then you may find that aspect of it underwhelming. In my opinion both the manga and the light novel are better works, though, after I read them my opinions on the anime tanked. However, it is definitely above the average Isekai anime, and I enjoyed it.

It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely one of my favourite anime (and probably my favourite “franchise”, if you include the manga and light novel). The world is really interesting (great worldbuilding), the action is fun, the characters are enjoyable to watch, and the politics are great. There are also some really cool fight scenes if that’s what you’re looking for. It definitely deserves it’s 8+ average score.

it's good but it's not perfect, I felt like the show went downhill during season 2. It wasn't bad. It's probably a 6 of 7 honestly speaking

I think the show has good plot, animation and sound effects. But i find the characters childish, None of them has a good development and their way of thinking is extremely simplified and totally Ficitional.
Because of their characters i think the story looses complexity and ends up beeing predictable.

Still is an enjoyable show

If you are a 10 years old who love bland Isekai, then maybe you ll like it.
This is one of the worst animes I ve ever watched. The characters are absolutely stupid and useless, and the art is not really good.

It's a good show overall. Season 2 part 2 got more and more boring and repetitive so I dropped it. If nothing else, the first season is pretty good, I would recommend it.

The amount of effort put into making the fight scenes in this show is just amazing!
The plot’s interesting and it’s a nice change compared to the many generic isekai stuff I’ve watched so far
I recommend that you watch it too :)

I was the same kept seeing the anime about and it starts slow but it gets addicting to watch and in later seasons for me climbed up to a 9

Well yeah, it's actually very good. It is very entertaining and has a "feel good vibe". Although it has a lot of comedy, the action scenes are great, and in the last season things get a little more serious.

The fun part is watching the main character (Rimuru Tempest) form alliances and connections with other characters and kingdoms. In fact, Rimuru is one of the main reasons the show feels different from other isekai, being a slime, kind of quirky.

And it has waifus.
