| Yikes, they really threw Anna into a tough spot this episode. For instance, that is one dangerous and ugly demon they encountered... On the other hand, she's not entirely alone either when Yoh is there with her. It's time like this where she needed to him the most. |

| This mini arc easily shits on the other 29 episodes of this disaster of a remake. It really had the great OG vibes and was fucking amazing from start to end. Now I wonder......can they top this or are we going back to mediocrity from next week? |
| What I got from this backstory arc was that Amidamaru is cool, but the series would be cooler with Matamune as Yoh spirit. |

| This arc was flawless. It was what I wanted to watch animated the most and I'm so glad it didn't disappoint me... The 4 episodes were perfect, the best Shaman King episodes ever. |

| Au revoir, Matamune. That was really great, this whole arc was great. I hope Yoh can bring back Matamune someday. Anna's confession was so adorable, I loved that scene. That last slash of Yoh, was really fucking sick though. After this arc, I definitely love Yoh and Anna even more now as we found out more about them and their motivations. Hope the next arc or episodes keeps it up. Really happy that they used the Osorezen Revoir song for the ending. |

| This episode had to be so emotional. Matamune gave Yoh one last piece of advice to not lose faith. That alone is something to not let go of no matter what. But it was beautiful. |
| The ending by Megumi was beautiful. Definitely one of the best episodes. Very beautifully done. This little flashback arc was well done. |

| Goodbye, Matamune. He was such a good character. Easily, best arc of the series so far. Not that it was particularly outstanding but its story sure was the most engaging one to me. |
| RIP Matamune, he was a great guy. Anna's finally saved and she became a tsundere. Hitting Yoh every 5 mins to conceal her embarrassment. With this the arc is over, it was a good backstory arc. |

| The Ozoresan Revoir arc is done...and what a ride from the past. Matamune and Yoh facing their immortal enemy with Oh-Oni whose held Anna's spirit captive with the deposit and withdrawal of curse spirits, the only way is to combine their powers into soul integration (or simply Over Soul) mode. This arc really exposes what Matamune has gone through from high hell to back with misplacing Hao to his own freedom, and how that has turned for the worst. Anna too, got her salvation from being able to love Yoh that's not without reason, and entrusting her life in his hands. So that how both Yoh and Anna got their signature necklaces, and now we start the long Epilogue into the Shaman Fight. Anna's signature slaps on Yoh follows to hide her embarrassment, and making the Ozoresan Revoir poem into a song is but the only fitting way to finish this arc with a bang. What a good backstory arc. |

| And that was the adpatation of the best arc of the manga by far. Pretty satisfying overall, glad they took their time by spreading it out unto 4 episodes. It's all powerlevel nonsense from here on out but at least there's the X-Law comedy to look forward to. |

| damn, as much as i liked this arc (interactions between Yoh, Anna and Masamune were great), i didn't give a damn whenever Masamune was talking about his poem... but now that he is gone, this ending song hits pretty hard, amazing how these feelings change so easily lol |

| I was a G through this whole arc until the ending song came. I wasn't expecting them to get me like that. I guess the build up to it was good enough to be that effective. |
| It feels like ages since I've seen a soul integration. The last of Matamune's power slays the demon afflicting Anna. Confession in the heat of the battle. Farewell Matamune. Anna riding the same train as Yoh for one stop just so she can thank him in private. Special ED by Megumi Hayashibara. |

| Watching this remake and suffer most of the pace issues was surely worth to watch this arc. it wasn't only worth to see why anna loves yoh so much, but knowing that he's loving her the same. oh and of course, matamune is the star for this arc. and now when i'm seeing yoh's "necklace" i know that it means much more than just, hrm, necklace. buu on the 2001 version that doesn't have this much depth. seriously. in fact, this arc alone was worth for raising this series rank to 8. oh and the ED was beautiful. now let's see how anna going to kill yoh for forfeiting the shaman fight. |
| It's crazy how incredible this anime can be when the pacing is fixed and it delves more into personal issues and values of the characters. Why did it only apply to this arc though (so far - I'm on ep 38)? This 4-ep arc was insanely good, very emotional until the very end. Matamune is now officially my favorite character of Shaman King, and that's including the 2001 show. Very sad how after this episode the pacing and whole vibe is off again. One can only wonder why they focused so much on these last 4 episodes and didn't show the same care for the rest. If these episodes were released as one separate movie, it would be at least a 9/10. |
