I haven’t watched this series yet but I noticed someone is named „Osamu Dazai“ and it’s the same Name as the one who has written many books. Does this have a deeper meaning or is it just because the author liked Dazai? If it’s a Heavy spoiler then just don’t answer it.

Don't is a spoiler. All the characters of anime are named with name of Authors of Books. This is pretty good. A great AD for books of Japan. Read the Manga, have all references, but the Anime is very very very good too. Made by Bones Studio.

Some of the character names and their abilities are based on real novelists, but the story has nothing to do with their novels.

most if not all the bungou stray dogs characters are based on real life people. You can find it if you search it up

They aren't only their names, but their powers and the way they act are caricatures of those authors and their works. For example Dazai has an ability called "no longer human" which is also one of his most popular books, and Natsume has an ability called "I am a cat" which is the title of his most popular book.
There are a lot of references which are fun if you understand them, but the series is also fun without knowing anything about the original authors.
Later on the references also get expanded to not only include japanese authors, but also western ones.
