| Despite it is nearly 4 years old but this show still failed to get the attention of the masses. So far only 3000+ MAL users actually saw it. While far from masterpiece but at least it is one of the anime that I recommend other people especially girls to see it. Unfortunately it still remained of the most ignored show of all time. There are several theories I can think of its obscurity. First it was shown in Summer 2009, exactly the same time where highly anticipated Bakemongatari was shown. Second it was shown where K-On! ended and most people though this show is going to be filled with nothing moe shit which unfortunate this show never had. Third since it has big "seinen" label with it and most people also think it going to be a pointless but cute moe show like K-On! and some others. While far from perfect but I think it just more more recognition from anime fans. |

| I agree. I caught a year or two ago On Demand and although it took a couple episodes I grew to love it. It's surprisingly pretty funny too. Never got the chance to finish it though. |

| I'm thinking about rewatching it again, because the Taiga Drama "Idaten" made me remember this anime. I'm still mad that we are almost at 2022 and no sequel was announced. To compensate for this I recommend this drama. Made by NHK in 2019 leading into the Olympics that should had been held in 2020. It tells the story of sports in Japan, and because of this we can also see the beginning of physical education in schools including on girls schools.
