that coach is extremely irresponsible, he should never have let Shigeno on the mound. I don't care how badly the game was going. even if he didn't give a damn about Goro's future he should still realize that the parents would sue him for recklessly allowing him to play against their express wishes.

and why the hell didn't Taiga take his place after it became clear that he couldn't really play anymore? is his team spirit really that bad? :/

I know it won't happen, but the best thing they could do for Goro right now is to throw him off the team.

Taiga takes the cake for worst attitude, biggest sore loser and ridiculously misplaced stubbornness i have ever seen... Kaoru needs to beat the living crap out of him and get some sense knocked into his stuck up 'never-was' thinking before he grows up to be a prick with no friends and ten kids.

this season mirrors the first season with the drama and teamwork that i missed in the second; no to say it was bad, i just missed the dilemmas and Goro battling it out with a horrible injury... i'm a sucker for that stuff ^^

Lol Taiga has a bad attitude, hope it changes soon. I hope the other team members train more and get much better. Doubt they'll win Mifune like that, especially since the members on Mifune actually seem good this time. Ugh why is it always that Goro must enter a bad team. He should've at least entered a decent team and train from there. Or just stayed at Kaidou lol, dislike his pride or whatever he's got.

I think that they should've gone to get some data info on Mifune, so they can strike at their weaknesses since they're not up to their level yet

Wow I thought the catcher had a bad attitude during the exhibition game, but Taiga takes the cake here. He needs to either be kicked off the team or get punched in the face.

AHHHHHHH!! THIS!! YOU SAID IT BRO! I WANT THAT TO HAPPEN! I REALLY HATE IT WHEN GORO'S INJURED! IT'S FRUSTRATINGLY DEPRESSING! LIKE, YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING THAT GORO IS SO HELPLESS?!!

Ah, I'm getting bored. While watching Season 3, I was lurking in the Season 5 info. If you're going to see the poster, Toshi and Goro has the same uniform. Seeing that gives me relief and hope that S5's gonna be awesome so I must hang in here and finish S3 and S4 quickly.

EDIT:
THEY WON? Okay..
I don't have anything against their opponent, but if you won against Kaido AGAIN, Nah...
I share sentiments with Taiga before but not pitching when Goro can't pitch anymore is not good. Taiga is such a badass here.

Why do Goro's friends turn into assholes when they meet on the field as opponents?

This is annoying! Goro really needs to stop being injured all the time, however I wonder what they are going to do against Mifune. I doubt Goro can pitch, and while I suspect Taiga will actually wind up pitching, I highly doubt he will be able to match up to them.

I hope the doctor says he won't be able to play for at least one month and they lose against Mifune. This would be a good lesson for that selfish Gorou! It has become so irritating to watch this season.

Goddamnit, Goro, you talk too much! And you shouldn't have played after your first run. Yamada should have tried to convince Taiga to throw at all cost. He failed as a coach.

Goro have been incredibly stupid too. Why sacrifice your foot? You only make the delay to recovery longer! There's no point in doing what he did. I'm sure they could have won at 8 to 5 by being simply more careful. Goddamnit!

haha, who are we kidding, he's going to end up playing and they're going to win. no matter what the doctor, yamada or shigeno says NIPPON FIGHTING SPIRIT always trumps injury.

This sucks, why does Gorou have to suffer in this condition when such difficult matches are coming up.

This shit is so frustrating and makes my stomach hurts. Still incredibly enjoyable since I was watching S3 episode 1 and the next moment I was watching episode 11. Time flies with this show.

Pretty much this.
Do they even need Goro to win the next match? The team will probably win even without him because why not. They have to somehow play against Kaido at the end of the season, I suppose.

That was a dramatic win, but the price he paid was too big.
The game against Mifune is going to be amazing, Komori and Yamane seem confident about the game.

Honestly I'd love if the match against Mifune was without Goro. He needs more time off than he could get, but at least one match off is more than enough. At this rate he'll completely ruin his leg, which still won't happen considering there are three more seasons.

Something's got to give for believability to be maintained. Gorou will have to sit out of the next match, they'll have to lose, or something along those lines. I can't imagine a plausible scenario where he plays and they win. Actually, imagining any plausible scenario where they win is difficult, but I suppose it might be easier to sell with Taiga pitching.

Taiga has the suckiest attitude thus far in the series though. What a loser.

I'm not going to judge Ichiro for allowing that. I think he's trying really hard to teach Gorou a lesson with all of this; it's just that Gorou is a pretty dense guy when it comes to knowing his limits.

not again goro-kun, not again... it's not even funny.
though taiga is the only choise, i wonder how they will make him come back.
and it's always good to see komori, and it's seem he have grown a lot, not in body but in mind.

Things worked out for now thanks to Goro's bluff and Fuji's catch at the end but Goro paid a big price as expected. The team needs to stop relying on Goro to save the match (disappointed with Ichiro as I expected him to bench him) and Taiga needs to stop being so stubborn on them losing as with that attitude nothing is going to change.
